- Check out the 2013 Volkswagen Beetle at the 2012 LA Auto Show - When the new Beetle was introduced, lowercase new, it seemed like only a matter of time before a convertible version was introduced. Well, that time has come.
Besides adding the convertible for 2013, the Beetle line-up also gains VW's TDI engine that'll achieve an estimated 33 mpg combined, though we've often found diesel engines do even better than advertised. The Beetles base five-cylinder and 2.0-liter turbo-4 carry over to the convertible as well.
So, not only is this Beetle one of the very few convertibles in its price range, it's also the only one that tops 40 mpg on the highway. Of course, this is still a Beetle Convertible, so it definitely won't be everyone's idea of an automotive fashion statement.

2019- just got my first car! A 2013 vw bug!! It’s awesome and blue-tiful
ERMAHGERD!!! I need this car in my life
The trim level by decades sounds pretty cool!
Riswick and the Beetle Convertible are HOT!
I like the Decades Trim levels, kinda cool.
The decade theme is about "historical" color. Ages ago, Beetle supposed to be a serious middle-class saloon, not a Malibu girl's toy.
one of those special editions should have a RR layout... like the original one that they're celebrating.
o.m.g i love that car
Why the three different decade special editions come only with one color choice??? I like the 60's version but hate the black. I like it in white or silver.
I know, that would be great however I don't think VW will ever do it. It's a shame.
Yes, I know. LOL
If they put an engine in the back and convert to rear wheel drive, I would buy it regardless if people still think it has a feminine look
