Unlike many, I had a great experience with our Ford Fiesta. It was my wife's daily to work. although we clocked in little mileage compared to many other Fiesta users, we really enjoyed it. Bought it with a 14k discount brand new from Sime Darby Ford. bought at RM 72k. Under warranty, they updated the software for the gearbox and 1 clutch replacement at 8 months old. Had the car for 8 years plus and sold it last year because we got a good price for it. sold it for RM21K. The car never once broke down. We maintained it for 5 years in Sime Darby Ford and the balance 3 years with Bengkel Excellence Subang. Other than the water pump for periodical maintenance and the front suspension being damaged by a tire shop, there were no major issues. The Aircond was cold, and the car was built solid. The sound system was proper and the car had a fantastic paint job from the factory. Loved the seats as it was like a semi-bucket style. half leather and half fabric. At the time, many competitors, like the Vios and City, were using 15/16-inch wheels, but they all used 185-wide tires. The fiesta was running 195/50/16. The car handled well with this tire profile. Overall we were very satisfied. Just thought I'd share my experience.
Best car i ever own,10/10 wont buy again..the pain point of this car is the dct + smelly aircond…i change clutch 5x under warranty..sold it after 5years..if they ever re-release it with a reliable gearbox-would buy it and keep it forever..in us actually there is a lawsuit that ford are force to repurchase it..
230k km never once changed the tcm. Today i clocked 40km/l on sport mode. Unfortunately cannot paste the image here. Otherwise i can let people see how capable this car is.
@KonWaiLuen i sent you an email with the screenshot attached. What i can say is, i turned off hill assist, kind of running on sport mode instead of normal D mode. In D, the car will upshift as early as possible ie 2500 rpm, meanwhile, if the hill assist turned off, the rpm will hold rpm longer for upshift ie 3000rpm.
I may be biased but we have really bad experience with Fiesta Ecoboost. Parts are expensive and problem headache. I'd rather go for VW or even BMW anytime
That's the general consensus in the market, but this example that is on the verge of being driven to the ground still got me around without missing a beat. So I was properly grateful for it.
@KonWaiLuen i see a lot of good kelisa and kancil in sabah and sarawak tbh. Most of the one i saw in peninsular are either trashed or beyond repair. A ford focus is still a good choice. But the repair that comes along with it. Just not worth it
10 automatic cars malaysians will avoid after hard lesson learnt 1. Any Ford Mondeo, Kuga, Fiesta, Focus 2. Any VW dry DSG. 3. Any Renault automatic. 10. Nissan Syplhy 2.0
I had a Mondeo with a wet-clutch Powershift previously and a Kuga with an Aisin 6AT now. Both were fine during ownership, but the issues arose with the one that had dry clutches powershift.
@KonWaiLuen yes when I push a small Crossover in the rain doing a 90 Deg turn at high speed..all the esp abs cannot stop it from sliding. I not stupid to go to extreme though
@KonWaiLuen she replaced her faulty engine with recon engine, abs pump rm 2600, engine mounting rm1800. Steering rack rm1000. Gasket rm250 skim cylinder head rm200. Parts are expensive.

sound have been mixed up with another audio of you speaking

Love these sort of videos with Thana…Please continue doing
more to come!
For RM7,000 what will be your choices? I will wait for avW210 non kompressor model.
I think W210 at RM7,000 now also got plenty.
Would you recommend the fiesta over a VW polo the comparable generation?
The VW Polo definitely more reliable, to be fair,.but the Fiesta handling is much more peppy.
Should continue content about under rated second hand car that’s good to own and drive.
Maintenance and workshop list would be beneficial. Tq
More to come!
Cool. Mr Thana has a workshop in USJ? Cos I think I was behind his yellow Boxster once somewhere near the GWM showroom
Yes, he is based near there
@KonWaiLuen ah nice. Maybe shall pay him a visit someday to say hi as fellow Aurizn kaki

Wow, impressive! What sort of usage patterns?

If the Fiesta is sold for RM 1 + a full tank of gas + set of 4x new tyres, maybe there are potential buyers😅
Go make Thana an offer 😄
Is it a Turbo?
1.6 N/A
U wanna a reliable Ford work shop, i have one. Parts are plenty because you eventually need one.
Where?
@KonWaiLuen endran workshop. Fordexcellent in subang jaya
How is your smax?
Still serving the family well!
Age of the fiesta?
Thereabouts of 2010 - 2012
I may be biased but we have really bad experience with Fiesta Ecoboost. Parts are expensive and problem headache. I'd rather go for VW or even BMW anytime
Between Ford, VW, and BMW..... BMW is by far easiest to jaga
Aircon sejuk beku.😂 can see the condensation on driver side window.😅
Yeah, the A/C in this car is fantastic
for 5K i would , 2K++ to spend for parts replacement.
2k enough to repair ? haha
Hahahha I paid 4k plus repair gearbox
Make an offer!
Looking forward to the reupload lol
Issues finish after 0:31
I'll just cut those initial few seconds haha
gearbox+cooling system...
Gearbox is common, but I m not aware this model has cooling system issuesm
Its unreliable right
That's the general consensus in the market, but this example that is on the verge of being driven to the ground still got me around without missing a beat. So I was properly grateful for it.
should buy a kancil.
Finding a good one is a challenge though.

With at least 1 year warranty, then it's worth
Can try to ask.....
If u are wiling to spend times in workshops.. That's a good buy 😂😂
Very few workshops can fix this Ford!
Thana's workshop is a cool place to hang out. Haha

The Kuga 6A/T is not known to have transmission issues.
It a simple car but don't push your luck 😂 remember its a Ford. For small car make sure suspension is tip top or u spin in emergency
You had experience spinning?
@KonWaiLuen yes when I push a small Crossover in the rain doing a 90 Deg turn at high speed..all the esp abs cannot stop it from sliding. I not stupid to go to extreme though
looking ford focus rs 😂
In Malaysia only got 2, I think 😄
I just sold mine for 7k hahaha gearbox always give me problem
Ouch. What did you replace it with?
This car is a money pit. My relative went thru a costly maintenance.
How bad was it?
@KonWaiLuen she replaced her faulty engine with recon engine, abs pump rm 2600, engine mounting rm1800. Steering rack rm1000. Gasket rm250 skim cylinder head rm200. Parts are expensive.
