This is the buffet where I just never get sick or groggy for some reason. It's high quality to a point where I'd rather eat here instead of some other great regular Japanese restaurant. IMO it's really all about the hot food and less about the sushi, the latter you'd rather get at a sushi-focused AYCE place
Been to Makino many times, always top notch quality. Great hot dishes and always enjoy the sushi. Not too much room left for dessert but everything always looks great. Would highly recommend Makino.

The lunch look great & for $25 you can’t beat that. The shrimp looked delicious & so did the desserts. I definitely look forward to your videos & the delicious for you are going to show us
As a former sushi roller, I can attest that those rolls were excellent and the food in general were of pretty high quality--IMHO. As for the hours, typically Japanese restaurant close for a few hours to give their staff a break and to allow for food prep for dinner service.

Tried the dinner with crab legs, limited to 1 bundle. The crab was too salty and the food was mediocre. Lunch may be a good deal but stay away from the dinner prices, not worth it. Thanks for the videos and new places to go try! 🤙

We'll be in Vegas next month so I guess if you have to choose between Makino and Imperial, you would choose Makino?
Last week I would have said Imperial, but their quality took a nose dive. Now the LUNCH at Makino is a better deal at $24.99 (but no crab, no oysters). I can't recommend either place for Dinner, both around $40: "IMPERIAL with very bad quality food and service" and "MAKINO not good quality crab" ... If you like Cantonese style lobster, IMPERIAL is ok, IF they put out enough for you to have more than 1 serving. It used to be good, but now they're really stingy, they deliberately are slow about putting the food out, and they suck all around.
@@lasvegaseats702 most of the Chinese restaurants that I have been to are always slow in putting out good food, especially seafood. Not just now but it's always been like that for years. Now seems like buffets are getting worse and we can't seem to get a decent meal like we used to. Sad
The sushi I had kept falling apart. It's now $26.95 for lunch. I'll take a blindfold challenge between the sushi here and a cheap Chinese buffet and I wouldn't notice the difference.
You’re right. I was watching the various TH-cam videos praising Imperial Buffet. It was my first time and was excited especially for the lobsters. I was so totally disappointed. Nothing special except the lobsters w/c they we’re always out of and you need rob watch refilling since the lobsters are gone w/in a minute.

Been to the one in Irvine, CA. It was good at first, then it went down hill... Too bad, I enjoyed their food in the beginning.
