    I think you make an excellent point. That point of view has been, up to now, lost on me. It does occur to me that my friends that have Gucci products, have accessories more than the clothes. I agree, as I have never seen any person of color wearing a green suit. I appreciate you taking the time to point this out.

    High fashion is art. The look over the last last century has been similar in both the male and female industry. Tall, lank and pale. It's the way it has always been, always will be. Don't take it personally..

  • @memberofthetribe1
    @memberofthetribe1 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    I agree. I really appreciate your comment. When will people understand that this isn't about race, it's about APPEALING TO YOUR MARKET. I personally think Gucci would suffer huge losses if ALL people of color stopped buying their products. Not trying to be political, I just think models of color on your runway show is a way of saying "Thank You".

    ...or grey or cream. I have worn the red jeans with a grey top or a black leather jacket and white tee.. It looks great. We'll have to wait and wee aboutultra-suede. They are beautiful. the next collection. Armani usually has free-flowing pants in velvet-like suede-like material. They are beautiful in muted navy and grey-black.

    consider a different perspective. i live on the west coast in the USA. There are a lot of Asians with a lot of money that spend a lot of that money in Gucci stores, yet there was not one asian model. It matters to people of color that we be represented in their collection shows because we spend a lot of money on these designers as well. Ralph Lauren always has models of all colors, and look how successful he is. He knows his clients are people of the WORLD, not one community or race. It matters

  • @Shrinksjp

    Anyone can criticize what he wants. The world would be a mmotonous place if everyone thought like you or I. There must be varied opinions and tastes. I have a very large income and if I enjoy buying an item, I should buy it. Same for you. I don;t put fashion or my home or car above my responsibilities. I work hard and achieved much and I should enjoy things I would like. Nothing wrong with that. People should do things that make them happy if it hursts no one.

    So do I......However, if you can afford it, why not? I see nothing wrong with buying what you like, if you can easily afford it; or even buying a copy. The important thing is how it looks. I prefer to buy the original, or at least some of them. If I really like it, I buy it.

    The entire suit in bright hue might be a bit much for some, but not all. Fashion is fun and subjective.

  • @Shrinksjp
    @Shrinksjp 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    I have seen people wearing these suits at weddings and in clubs. As I said, I see men wearing clored jeans everyday, but that is different. The suits, I would not wear, except for the light blue and the medium blue. They are more traditional. But I see nothing wrong with the colored suits even though I would stray away from them. The jeans by themselves are a different story.

    That's your right, but you need not criticize another who wants to take the other route. There are those that have to look nice due to their work and social life. There is nnothing wrong with jeans. I have plenty and I wear them, from Levis to Diesels, but I also wear the more dressy items and I buyt what i like and not because of what name is attached to them.

    I think the black momentum is quieter now and closely connected to anti fashion arenas like Hip Hop and rap. I really think thats the only reason. Also where I am outfits like that arent even close to needed or in style. I could see the same for even New York as well. In Europe at the universities and prestigious private schools the looks have a direct cohesiveness.

  • @Shrinksjp
    @Shrinksjp 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    There were some pant in this cllection that were too tight IMO where the actual shape of the leg showed and there was no flow. I think as far as the colors go, most would wear one piece of the clor and then tone it down with white, black, or grey, or some other color.

  • @Shrinksjp
    @Shrinksjp 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    I'm not sure what you mean by the cut, but pants are now slim, no longer baggy. However, if the panats are so tight that you can see the shape of the leg, then the fit is wrong. Tom Ford has been making skinny pants and jeans for a while now, as well. It is nearly impossible to buy baggy pants today. No one wants them. Everything is slim, straight, or skinny. I was just in Philly's Center City area and saw many men wearing the tight and tapered slacks short to the ankle.

    If my daughter brought home a guy dressed like one of these models, I think I'd die laughing.

  • @itsmegp46

    I doubt it. Those name brand fashions run into the thousands of dollars per outfit. Spending that kind of money for one outfit defines superficial to me. You won't change my mind.

      A late answer is better than no answer 😊😄
      It's Matvey Lykov 😊 He was among the most successful male fashion models of the world from like 2008 - 2015.
      th-cam.com/video/tTBsin_rmMo/w-d-xo.html
      Then, in 2015 he got the main role in the movie I am Dragon. And since then, he's rather been an actor than a model. Well, he's still a model, but he does more campaigns and editorials nowadays than runway shows (he e.g. recently had the Corneliani campaign and he has an editirial in this month's GQ Spain..)
      In case you don't know I am Dragon yet, I'd really recommend watching it 😊 It's a beautiful movie with great cinematography 😊 and he's basically topless the whole movie lool
      Here's the trailer
      th-cam.com/video/SomZ_9OnE5w/w-d-xo.html
      And the whole movie in English is evenon TH-cam lol 😄

      Oh, and here's his IG 😊 instagram.com/matveylykov/?

    Nothing wrong with the clothing. It's the way you wear the, Colored jeans are big for men and seen everywhere. Express is making a fortune off of them. However, I have to admit that eventhough these models look good in the bright colored suits, I would hesitate to wear them. They look good because th epants are tapered. The light blue to medium blue suits, however, I would wear.

    I'm reminded of scoops of harlequin sherbet floating in fruit punch. Seriously, look at the faces of the models. They are just barely and not always holding their heads level, not high, level. It's as though they afraid of being recognized. When you wear clothes, especially clothes that are supposed to be stylish, you hold your head high, unless you are embarrassed to be wearing those clothes as these guys clearly are.

    I think you are taking fashion much too seriously. Your daughter can bring a lot worse home. Judging a person by clothing is so superficial. There are individuals who can wear these clothes and look nice. The problem is that some who should not be wearing them do wear them. I think the younger generation is much more open to the fun of fashion. It is not a serious thing. The Express jeans in clors are seen on men frequently, but, as I said, these are just jeans.
