Original Video:
• Rhiannon - Fleetwood M...
For the first time on the channel, we are checking out Fleetwood Mac with their performance of "Rhiannon" on The Midnight Special in 1976. This song in itself is amazing but I absolutely loved this performance. The guitar solo was amazing and they added in some bluesy piano work that was killer! This tune is so hypnotizing and Stevie Nicks has such a unique voice! Hope you enjoy! #reaction #fleetwoodmac #rhiannon #lindseybuckingham #70smusic #musicreactions

Is this the greatest song of all-time? If not, what should we listen to next from Fleetwood Mac?
Lindsey Buckingham is a master finger picking guitar player.
Seems that way! Do you know if he ever played with a pick? Thanks for watching!
@@setonhillstudios no, he's never played with a pick.
@@phoenixrising8231 Thanks! 🙏🏻
This group is so awesome! I'm 75 yrs young and never get tired listening to their music. They have so many songs you need to play. Their Rumors Album is gold. ❤❤❤❤❤
"This is a song about an old Welsh witch" is her introduction to this classic.
Love this tune! Absolutely amazing! 🔥
@@setonhillstudios I read that when she turns around and stares at the drummer, Mick Fleetwood, he felt her channeling that Welsh Witch!
Not a witch, She is a Goddess.
Silver Springs '97 is a must watch!
Thanks! Gotta check that out!
@@setonhillstudios Thanks😘
According to Stevie, who wrote this song, it was inspired by a book she read, and is about 'an old welsh witch'; in one of the documentaries about Fleetwood Mac, she reflects upon how the witch started out as a myth or legend, and became a cultural memory. Other Fleetwood Mac songs written by Stevie to check out include "Gypsy" (official video available), "Landslide" and "Silver Spring"; do yourself a favour and check out the live performances of the two later tracks... the chemistry and tension between she and Lyndsay are palpable! Another amazing (solo) track by Stevie is "Edge of Seventeen," and the live concert performance is electric!
Back in these days, Fleetwood Mac wasn't interested in replicating the studio sound in concert. Their performances were unique, and fantastic. Some of that changed in the 80s, with the introduction of backup singers and musicians. These early performances highlight their musicianship.
Well said! Absolutely loved this performance! Thanks so much for swinging by!
Stevie, Deeply stoned and truly magnificent.
Haha 🤣 No doubt about it! 💯
Check out I'm So Afraid and Big Love, live versions for L B's guitar skills
Sweet! Appreciate the suggestions! 👍🏻
That was the way she performed the song in the 70s....so, I have read. Silver Springs live, specifically, the Dance, 1997....and, I'm so afraid, and Big Love. Same show. What the entire concert. It is very, very good
Lindsey NEVER uses a pick. He is incredible. You will not regret reacting to Big Love from Rock and Rooll Hall of Fame induction ceremony 1998.
Another great example is his Soundstage duet with Stevie released in 2005 but filmed in 2003. They sing Say Goodbye. The finger picking is gorgeous on that and Never Going Back Again.
A lot of people are unaware but Christine McVie on the keyboards was like the major brains behind this band. She was one of the original members from back when Peter Green was in Fleetwood Mac
And the premiere "rock Gypsy" was born!
💯
Fleetwood Mac is so different Live than their albums. First time I saw them in 1975 I was shocked. Loud and powerful. John McVie's bass, often overlooked in this video, is awesome in this video!
as far as i know Lindsey Buckingham never used a pic, Great channel
It's amazing how beautiful of a performance Stevie did considering she was so stoned on the coca
No lies told! She still brought that 🔥 though! Such an amazing band!
Don't see the need to talk about the drugs, we all know, and don't care.
Rumors is a great place to start.
Sweet!
Thank You! Love this song! You know who it is the with the first notes! Saw them LIVE probably close to 12 years ago.
Exactly! They have such a unique sound. So cool you got to see them live and thanks for hanging out! 😁
If you haven't seen or reacted to this one before, Silver Springs live from 1997.
Thanks so much for the suggestion! Have a great one!
Check out The Chain live from ‘82 concert. I’m So Afraid is a must from The Dance concert in ‘97, you will see how good Lindsey Buckingham is
Everything on the Rumors album is good. You could start with Second Hand News.
Lindsay Buckingham has almost never used a pick. He also doesn’t do traditional fingerpicking. He says he started out doing Travis-picking, (I assume you know who Merle Travis is), and it changed as he went along. Jerry Reed’s fingerpicking style is probably the most similar to Lindsay Buckingham. But, I’m just a drummer who plays some guitar.
Super interesting! Thanks for the info. This tune is so good and I loved this performance! Appreciate it! 😁
My favorite Midnight Specials preformance are this song and TED NUGENT CAR SCRATCH FEVER and REO ROLL WITH THE CHANGES and acdc sin city, JONE DENVER WITH MAMA CASS LEAVING ON A JET PLANE,
Oh wow! I have to try and find some of those! The Midnight Special had so many great performances it seems! Thanks for sharing! 😃
"This is a song about an old welch witch"
For sure!!❤❤❤
Such an EPIC song! 🎶
This is a great tune but I like "The Chain" even better
Great song and reaction
Thanks so much and glad you enjoyed it! The song is truly just a banger from start to finish!
You lucked out big time getting to review this one!!! How do you guys pick who is gonna do what vid? You guys look like, and def sound like brothers. What, ya'll don't get along so you can't be in the same place or something? 😂😂I checked your channel and couldn't find any info on you guys. Website maybe??
Haha 🤣 😂 We are actually cousins and have grown up playing music together. We do need to shoot some stuff together but it’s just easier to do it separate. We will definitely get together soon though and start to post some performances etc. No website at the moment but maybe in the future 🤘🏻
@@setonhillstudios Well I'm glad you guys get along. 😁 Keep rockin, my brother!
I need a cigarette and I don't smoke!
😂🤣 💯
The whole Rumors album
You know you’re hitting on all cylinders when an entire album is full of bangers! Thanks for hanging out! 😎
