Hi Barry. i love the idea of having a cctv set around the layout. just like yourself i have similar issues not being able to see trains at various locations. by the way your layout is looking better and better every time i see it. thanks again for sharing your layout with us. best regards Tony
Hi Tony. Wired CCTV installations are really cheap these days as everything has gone wireless so a few cameras and a "box" is available for less than the price of a loco! Thanks for your comments. PM me sometime for a private chat about "bg layouts and their unique challenges :-)
as someone who lives in the Netherlands, your layout looks pretty hilly to me! Your landscaping is absolutely lovely, the red mauve and yellow flowers were my favourites!
Hahaha. Google Earth has Lincolnshire VERY flat but, on a model, we can take a bit of license. I guess modelling the Netherlands or Belgium can be tricky - even here in NW England, we have some very flat bits.
I do like how your layout is not an attempt to fit as much track as possible into each square inch of the board - so many folks tend to do this. You've allowed a lot of space for supporting scenery, I've yet to form an impression as to whether your build is old hillsides with tracks engineered through them, or tracks with convenient hillsides inserted in between 😊. On the subject of curtains, I was watching a video by another modeler, who had about 1/2 of his curtains as white rather than colored. However, considering back to my childhood, it occurred to me that I had observed this way back when. Unlined curtains are single color/pattern both sides, but lined curtains are usually white when viewed from the exterior, with the color/pattern on the interior!
Hi Neil. The main line is a traditional "flat Earth" build but I went semi-open-frame on the branch to create the embankments. For hills, read "pimples" - Lincolnshire is flat but funnily enough, Lincoln Cathederal sits on top of a very steep hill in the middle of the city. Strange stuff, Nature..........
Nice, it's looking very good. I've been stalking for a while and find it fascinating watching it evolve. Ready now for the next update. Get the roof on the cottage I want to live there.

They can be and they do take so long to build, when its just one of us. but i dont i would have have any other way...Tony

CCTV Is a nice idea.
and, as it turns out, a very useful one. I just replaced the broken camera for £12 so not expensive either!!
14:15, must be modern, don’t see the 1p fee.
But, really, what a wonderful display. Nothing may ever be complete, but that’s half the fun and yours is a marvel.
