Single-venue games (Sunday night, Monday night, and Thursday night) are the worst. The problem is that live-in-game betting has greatly corrupted the sport. During those games, the entire betting world is betting the game. I'd personally rather the game be on in the morning or afternoon. Less chance of phuckery.

The only real surprise so far is the vikings hot performance in the first weeks of the season. Lions fans expected this division to be much harder to win than it was last year.
The Vikings offensive ceiling is objectively not higher than that of Green Bay's offensive ceiling. That's an unhinged take, Paul.

Lafluer is showing his abilities. Replaced D Coordinator with College Head Coach which is working better, and molding not one, but two QB's to run HIS offense with skill and success. Amazing that this has been easier than replacing Crosby. GO PACK 💯👏👏👏

The two guys who just left PFF say the same things about Darnold as your crew. He has had very good short stretches mixed in with very bad stretches. If this is the rebirth of Darnold, then the good stretches will be longer than 3 games. Week 4 should be a lot of fun

I have several Vikings fans in my life who’ve completely just turned into we are a top 3 team in the league after this start and we could win the nfc. I honestly think those people will be much more let down, because it seems that even a playoff berth (which I think would be very good season for the Vikings) but no playoff win would be a huge let down with how Vikings fans I know are starting to talk.
I hear “the Packers are good”. And still people put them at 3 in the division. Everyone underestimates them. This is why they will go further than people think.

Packers defense is legit
Brian Flores schooled CJ Stroud this past Sunday. Made him look like a rookie with no answers. Stroud is really good but he had the Jared Goff 2020-Miami-moment of not knowing where the next blitz or dropped lineman was coming from. The Vikings are legit, impressive every week and not playing patsies. I do think Detroit still is a cut above both the Packers and Vikings but by a much smaller margin than I imagined a month ago. Now that the Lions are at the top of the charts I find it so funny how the perception of the games the team plays has changed. The team just beat an Arizona team that was within a play at the end of the game in Buffalo from beating the Bills and then blew out the Rams 41-10 before getting ground down by the Lions. The Lions controlled the games against the Rams and Bucs but had difficulties in the red zone. Part of that is because both LaPorta and Gibbs missed most of training camp and 87 remains hobbled with an ankle problem that has limited his effectiveness. The team is 2-1 just like last season, and has actually gained more yards this season than last while committing fewer turnovers. We should find out a lot more this weekend when the Seattle Seahawks play at Ford Field. Thanks for the fun segment.
I kinda always save my excitement for december. If the packers look great in december and get into the playoffs then I'll believe they can make it to the superbowl, otherwise the first few months you got teams that are hot that collapse (looking at eagles last year and steelers when they were the last undefeated team), vice versa (packers last year and the 49ers a few years ago), and teams that just do enough to get a playoff spot. So don't really know what to expect until december at least in my opinion. The first couple months are just grind out some wins if you can and try to fix what's going wrong. Also as a packers fan i really don't see how the packers are beating the vikings, even if jordan love comes back i expect him to be a little rusty from injury. I'd almost agree with jack about starting malik willis over love against the vikings.
@PaulFarrington Guys, the Pack, under the play calling of MLF, absolutely destroyed a very good Titans defense with a discarded quarterback. Green Bay at home, Love wanting to prove himself better than Willis, and that disruptive Hafley defense will destroy the Vikings. Predictions: Darnold will throw a pick six to X (only thing left for him to do), will give up a fumble on a sack that Gary takes in for another touchdown, Love will toss 3 TD’s, and Jacobs punches one in as well. 42- 10 and the game.

I don't want to take anything away from the vikings because they are winning and look good doing it. But what gives me pause is A. Sam darnold did this in carolina. B. The Texans don't look great, they gave up 27 and barely beat the colts, they then beat a should be 0-3 bears team 19-13. I picked minnesota to beat Houston for that reason in pickem. The niners we have no idea how they are at the moment(still a good win)
Are the pieces there for darnold to succeed? Absolutely. Could this be real? Absolutely.
Last point of concern, brian flores defences seem to get worse as the year goes on and teams get tape on his new blitzes.
