jono walker don’t think he’s a bad pundit tries to put a positive spin on things whereas souness, carragher, Neville often focus on negatives. Seems like a really nice guy as well

Woodgate would of been better than Rio if he hadn’t of been injured. He was a ball playing defender. They both only played for Leeds a few time’s together. I agree with the king statement also.

Euro 96 when he was in the team and playing well then injuries ,and Liverpool 2001 .on sideline and club captain , missing out on playing and lifting all those trophy must of hurt.

It was Redknapp that came on against Scotland in Euro ‘96 and changed the game. I think he was technically as good as Frank but his injuries prevented a good run of games, from and fitness. Would have 80 caps if not from those!

As a Saints fan, after he left he said some disappointing things about the club, which considering what happened with his dad’s time at the club left a sour taste. However, he came on a free. Couldn’t train, could barely run and he was still our best player most weeks, lead by example and showed absolutely commitment no matter what his team mates were or weren’t putting in. The experiment with him at sweeper for England under Hoddle has always been a what if as well as that was interesting.
I’m not a huge fan of him as a pundit, because I don’t feel like he invests enough of himself into the sport, it’s not that he’s thick it’s just that I don’t think he studies the game enough to say much fresh. But generally, have to say that I’ve got a lot of respect for his ability and the way he carried himself.

Loved playing football at school, after school, holidays, Sunday league. I was 19 when I had my first knee operation ACL, manipulation under anesthesia, infections and many keyholes surgeries later I now walk with a limp unable to bend my right knee. I have developed a fused knee without actually having surgery for it. Apparently it only happens to 2% of people. I thought to myself after all the operations, 16 in total it would be worth in the end and I will start playing again soon. I had to retire at 19. I’m 39 now and it effects my daily life. I have been to job interviews and have been refused work because of my knee (they won’t obviously tell you this.) I’m just your average person without the millions. People are alot worse then you mate.

Feel your pain dude. I'm 39, did my MCL when I was 21 playing football, that led to mistreatment 4 cortisone injections, 2 botched MCL operation, ACL then tore, had 2 more botched ops Inc an ACL, had decent surgery in Yorkshire but still MCL was missed. Had MCL repaired in 2015 but failed 3 times, then had a suture anchor left in my knee that tore the cartilage! Was told I couldn't claim for negligence as it was within the realms of reasonable! Had MCL reconstruction in 2018 and its ok just a bit of pain. 12 ops later. I injured my ankle at work last year 3 ligaments and chipped a 15mm piece out of the cartilage and bone..that damage is permanent. I don't think people realise how bad joint injuries are who haven't had them. Best wishes to you
