As Dina (Marla Adams) sits with the family in the living room but is unresponsive due to Alzheimer's, Jack (Peter Bergman) has something to show her from the past and opens the necklace box. Dina focuses on the emerald and reacts with delight. She briefly regains clarity and speaks with great love to Jack, Ashley (Eileen Davidson), and Traci (Beth Maitland), however, Dina then begins to lose lucidity but tells them, 'I love you all,' before taking her final breath.
