This is an absolutely amazing time capsule with some of the discussion references plus the music snippets. Loved the choral segment at 1.35:05 of the BBC announcement outlining (in great detail) the change of medium wave wavelengths in 1978 for Radios 1, 2, 3 and local BBC stations. Brilliant. There was a reference about the move to FM transmissions earlier too. Thanks for a great upload (and a load of work to put it together).
When you hear some of the "personalities" who get on radio these days, none of them can hold a candle to Terry. Most of them have no training or experience in radio itself, they haven't a clue.
