Although your conversation about it seemed somewhat ambiguous. I think if you genuinely like or dislike someone's music you should be honest about. Sure he has an interesting story and is a great artist, and sure "Yellow and Such" could have grown on you. But an artist should be open to criticism - it doesn't matter who you are - not everyone is going to like everything you put out. And a critic/journalist such as yourself should be free to speak your mind on the music regardless of your relationship with the artist.
Awesome interview! However, I would highly suggest investing in a Zoom H4n Digital Voice Recorder with a shotgun mic for doing interviews. suuuper great quality that will be perfect for your interviews. Keep it up!

I like Gus's music, but I swear he looks like an industry plant. Like I get being yourself, but Gus goes extreme. Not saying there's anything wrong with that. But it just feels like a manager told him, "dude, we should be as different as possible. I mean like blur all the lines and leave none distinguishable.". Again, I like his music, I just can't help but think his look is an exaggerated form of him. Maybe I'm too high but that's just what's going through my head. But if it really is ALL you Gus, more power to you. Big fan.
