Yes.. you can go for a day tour in water villa .. which is only for exploring and includes lunch in the resort..
And then tell your friends you stayed there . For this no need to visit Maldives . Go to your local cyber cafe and they can photoshop your image .

What is the point of going to a resort and not staying overnight .
It's called resort day trip.. it means even if you are not staying in that particular resort still you can explore it for the day 😁
