Me too but check out those divots. I swear he shanked a couple of the wedges Also wierd that he seemingly doesn’t know how clubs work, those questions are absurd
My 100 year old Scottish born Father reveres Arnold Palmer and a close second is Fred Couples, and I feel the same. I get the sense that Fred is less concerned about the technical aspects and jargon of club design and more about the way it looks and feels. That’s a great lesson for all of us. A true artist.
Yeah you can tell he is a feel player. He’s even picky about the feel of the grip. I completely understand where he’s coming from. If the club doesn’t feel right in his hands…it’s gonna be a bad day and you can tell when he’s uncomfortable with a club. I’m sure he doesn’t like the cavity backs as much but Bettinardi has to make them because muscle back have way less forgiveness in them and you won’t get any launch if it’s mishit.
what a joy to watch Fred Couples the legend to hit the New Bettinardi irons. Fred was really impressed with the feel and look of this quality masterpiece. Hats off to team BETTINARDI - BOB AND SAMMY! BETTINARDI PRODUCTS ARE TOP NOTCH IN THE GOLF equipment SPACE..
If Fred Couples likes your irons, then I'll certainly check them out. We've always been a fan of his, have admired and copied his swing and love his attitude about life and the great game of golf. Thank you and cheers from Massachusetts.
The sound of the club hitting the ball and turf is just magical. Same every time, no matter which number iron he's playing. That's a pro sound right there. Love it.
Awesome video, would've been nice to the flight of the balls from behind. If i wasn't recently custom fit for my 2021 T100S irons these would def. be in the running. Freddy is king of smooth !! just effortless
These clubs are sweet but Fred Couples and his buttery tempo could make my 1966 Kroydon Bob Rosburg irons ,that I learned to play on, look like some clubs you would want to run out and buy! Maybe let some people who will actually have to pay for these clubs give em a try.
I don’t know if demo days are back since COVID as I’ve been away from the golf scene but I would love to try these out. The muscle irons are beautiful. The kbs shaft combination is great. I can tell they feel like butter. Not for your average golfer who needs forgiveness in their irons even for the Bettinardi cavity backs. From the feel perspective when Fred hit the muscle backs some of the strikes sounded really great. I would be proud to have these in my bag but you wouldn’t see them often as I would put a cover on each iron. They look so soft and bag chatter would up mess up the aesthetics and that would just piss me off. That’s like getting a scratch on a Ferrari. Putters are definitely great no doubt. Well done on the new irons Bettinardi fam and Fred Couples.
Just got fitted into this set today at Club Champion. P770, T100 and CB24 were the 3 finalists out of about 10 irons i tried. OMG the CB24 were on a different level! Suited my eye, and the turf/mat interaction was my favorite by far! Definitely give them a try if you are in the market for new irons and get fitted!!
I've been needing a new set of irons now for 10 years. Wow I really like the look of them. Sound is difficult on film but they do sound good. Watching Boom boom hitting those were amazing even though the cameraman was behind him and following the ball flights. Lol
Apparently Fred is tight with the Bettinardi family but, not going to lie, watching him demo these is pretty darn compelling and a good marketing choice by the company to roll out this video. If I can get my hands on a set I wouldn't hesitate one bit to test them with a launch monitor and give them consideration.

@@Station2Station-du2ghyeah you have to try them out and see if they fit your game. If your a high handicapper, you’ll have some nice clubs in your bag but your ball flight will be all over the place if you mishit the ball.
It's just the best golf swing ever my absolute golfing idol......what a golfer such good hands. When he said i hit that one really hard and it looked like he hit at about 10 percent 😄 must say the mb irons looked beautiful
Their putters are already probably one of the best designs on the market (at least I have seen so far). Really premium look of the products. Still on my dream list :) Their price level is a little bit higher, however if it was not only "milled in USA", but also "made in USA", it would be more of a thing deserving the price tag and giving it more of the right to be in the premium class. Their wedges are forged (which is something the "big" companies do not offer, only Mizuno, Ping and Bettinardi are forging their wedges as of I know....). Hope I will have the opportunity to test these at least :) Do not forget to allow combo set CB/MB, even most players on tour do have some partial combo in the bag ;) Really looking forward to see Fred with them on tour ;)
Just something I noticed later.... their default lofts are a bit sharper that blades of other brands.... PW is set to 45° and 4i to 23°. Well, do not think it is the best choice. Eg. 46° resp. 24° would be suiting better to even numbers of wedges and also to possible migration from others brands blades :( These lofts are more towards game improving irons of high hcps :(
Freddie just has an incredibly smooth swing. How can you hit the ball that smooth and elegant without trying too hard and still get those yardages? Just amazing!
He has a long backswing with flying elbow which is an under appreciated speed source. He also holds his lag as well as anyone. He’s very relaxed and his sequencing is spot on.
