    Wow, of all the oil changing instruction videos I've seen, I've never seen anyone keep their hands that clean without using gloves.
    Love that 1st road. They followed a snake to survey it eh? While those roads are fun to ride, I enjoy those 'tourist roads' much more.
    Good video Nic!!

      Might have been some sneaky handwashing done while letting the bike drain heheh. Macquarie Pass is a twisty classic, interesting article about it in the link below. Tends to be filled with motorcyclists and hot cars on the weekends which is a good time to stay away. I'm with you, I love those quiet old roads like Tourist Road, a lot of beauty on those roads. The long stone wall near the end is one of my favourites. Cheers mate! www.illawarramercury.com.au/story/1775303/heritage-a-way-over-the-escarpment/

      Thanks mate - some good tunes on this track, though I don't think I'll be getting you to sing on future soundtracks after hearing your singing and crooning while zooming through the outback heheh! Have a good one!

    Hey mate, gorgeous bike, have a 1999 intruder 250 myself, was wondering where you got your twin slip on pipes from?

    • @TheSlab24

      Cheers mate, they are a beautiful bike. Those twin pipes are standard for the first few years - definately in 1999 and I'm pretty sure in 2000 as well - then they went to the larger 2-into-1 due to noise/emissions regulations in either 2001, 2002 or 2003. So your 1999 should have the twin pipes - perhaps a previous owner has put some aftermarket ones on? I reckon best bet is to call some wreckers asking for twin pipes - there's plenty of these bikes out there so there should be some 1999/2000 models at wreckers with the twin pipes. Good luck and enjoy the bike, they're a terrific fun bike - still have mine!

    Hey, just got my first bike, 09 suzuki Intruder vl250. And want to do some work on it. I can't find the manual anywhere online, have you got any thoughts on where i can get my hands one

      Hey congratulations on the bike, they are fantastic. I haven't had any luck finding the manual lately - seems odd that such a common and long-running bike doesn't have the manual easily available. I think the VL125 is mostly the same bike apart from engine capacity.. but not sure to what extent. Perhaps ask at a mechanic and see if they can order one in for you. Good luck mate and enjoy the ride!

      @Nicontrast thanks you getting in touch, yeah I have spoke to so many mechanics and bike shops, they can't get one. I will look in to the vl125 manual. Thanks soo much

    Hey mate, if the bike over on the kick stand will it still show the level of oil in the viewing window? Or does the bike have to be straight up an down to show the reading??

    • @TheSlab24
      @TheSlab24  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Carmayne, the bike oil level should be checked in the upright position - not on the side-stand. Confirmed in page 2-11 of the service manual for this bike. Hope that's helpful, thanks for watching!

    How long does the oil last until you change it again? I'm changing my VL250 oil each 2000 km but I'm not sure if that is too often, too little or the right amount

      The Suzuki Intruder VL250 manual says to change the oil every 4000 km. Hope this helps, enjoy your Intruder! 👍😊
