Not only is this song a masterpiece, but the ending is one of the coolest ever. Just listen to the way it all builds up to one explosive conclusion with the drums, guitars, and vocals in perfect harmony.
I was born in '95 and my mother, my father, my aunts (both of them) and my grandmas are all rockers. I don't hate today's music, just trying to find those which are not worthless. I love every music. That's important to not just stay at one style. I have always loved Iron Maiden and I will always love it. I remember when I was only a little 2 years girl and I was headbanging and rocking out with my family on Iron Maiden.
Probably the best middle 8/guitar solo(s) Iron Maiden ever played. How on earth could any song follow this one, after every previous track being an absolute epic, as well? Rime of the Ancient Mariner: "Hold my beer..."
"And if I had hair that righteous, I could finally pursue my dream of cranking Iron Maiden's 'Powerslave', tearing off the knob and banging my head 24/7 until the bank repossessed my rented sub-woofer."
Sadly or maybe Not, but Ive been saying for 30 years or more that Maiden peaked at the POWERSLAVE ALBUM!!! SEEN THEM LIVE 6 TIMES LUCKILY, STILL ENJOY SOME OF THEIR NEWER STUFF, BUT ALTHOUGH NOT MY FAVORITE ALBUM OF MAIDEN, POUND FOR POUND AND SONG FOR SONG,POWERSLAVE RULES ALL!!!!!!!
I'm Paganguy, I have to comment on this excellent song... "Give me the blood and red wine, of the one who succeeds Me...He is a man and a God nd He will die tooooo" Just awesome...powerful.... The Reverend.
"Phantom of the Opera" is my favorite off of their first self titled album. It was made in 1979 and is ridiculously revolutionary, I would love to see that song on Guitar Hero, but it would definitely be tough since the whole song is basically an awesome guitar solo.
did Stephen King bring you here. Song Of Susanna is part 6 of the Gunslinger series. it's a poem that goes on for about 400 pages. check out jjcreator.blogspot.com
Maiden was a huge part of my childhood thanks to my brother. Powerslave is just an amazing song. This recording is a bit off but hearing all these songs in a row like this is awesome. Thanks!!
Dude pls, there's not only metalheads in the world, so much people hear much more other genres of music than you think, they have many fans in everywhere....
I should be studying for my upcoming exam but ended up listening to this brilliant track on my favourite Maiden album along seventh son of a seventh son and started thinking... If all this brilliant music was made in 70's, 80's and 90's, is there any good music ahead in our future and are there any bands to provide this? I can't see any bands matching up with the brilliance and nostalgy of Maiden, Saxon and the like (and especially seeing them play live in 20 years)! At least this music lives on!
Metal and classic is a very normal combination, because metal and classic are actually very similar, because they both are composed of part, like prologue, epilogue, main theme and stuff, and every mature and real metal listener will enjoy classic, me included.
best maiden solo ever. dave murray is such melodic genius, then WHAM!!! Adrian comes in and shreds til his strings are red hot from the speed he whips a solo up. Best guitar pair there is ever. period.
Wow, a powerslave, not half so bad as an ordinary slave. A powerslave will kick your ass and can have their own song. Probably bitten by a radioactive slave...
It was 7 or 8 years ago when i reaceived my first heavy metal CD-ROM. I was around 8 years old. It was Powerslave. Then i bought Somewhere back in time and finaly The number of the beast. Then i bought on Itunes Killer. My 10 favorites songs are (not in order) : The trooper, Aces High, 2 minutes to midnight, the number of the beast, run to the hills, wasted years, Flight of Icarus, Children of the damned, Rime of the ancient mariner and finaly Iron Maiden! For the 7,109.00 Lovers, look for those

Metal Is the greatest thing human has ever created ! ! !
Iron Maiden je klasična muzika i slažem se sa tobom.Ovi što ga ne vole neka pobegnu kod MTV koji više ne puštaju muziku nego neke usrane serije.
2.40 onwards is freekin awesome. How Murray makes that guitar sing.
Aces High is my favorite Iron Maiden song
if I were to pick favorites i would choose Revelations from Piece of Mind...
did Stephen King bring you here. Song Of Susanna is part 6 of the Gunslinger series. it's a poem that goes on for about 400 pages. check out jjcreator.blogspot.com

You can't, choose one, and it better be metal.
Oinikis Don't listen to this guy you can listen to whatever you like
Absolutely nothing wrong with being an open-minded music listener, my friend.
I like metal and classical. THAT'S a weird combination.
