Dublin Horse Show RID Stallion Parade RDS 2013

The annual parade of Irish Draught Stallions at the RDS, Featuring many well known stallions. The Irish Draught is a traditional breed of Irish horse. Irish Draught Horses are a light draught horse that are suitable for all sorts of equestrian disciplines such as hunting driving etc some Irish Draughts have been successful at showjumping such as Coille Mor Hill but this is rare because draughts tend not to have enough speed or pace to compete at the top level. Crossed with thoroughbreds they have produced outstanding hunters and showjumpers. There are Irish Draught Breed societies all over the world from America to New Zealand.

Finally remember that there is nothing like being there so if you live in Ireland or visiting Ireland then I would strongly recommend going to the Dublin Horse which is on normally after the bank Holiday weekend in August. It is the biggest and best horse show in Ireland.
