I grew up in Portland. When I saw this video it was a must watch. Forty years and boy has it grown. There was not one thing I recognized. I remember driving by it every day. Right off the freeway into Portland where our horses were boarded.. Every year in grade school we would field trip to this zoo. I am in awe. There was seal exhibit and you could buy fish and throw it to them. Great video I really enjoyed seeing the growth, Is the train still there? A little train that ran along the perimeter of the zoo. Four decades. I never thought I would get this old..

Most animals in zoos are animals that have been rescued or are being rehabilitated and would not stand a chance in the wild. It’s not as bad as it seems.
