@Freestyle80 disagree. Spurs aren't good enough to defend. Similar to how Liverpool were the first 6 months under Klopp. It was all out attack as their defence was woeful. Its currently the same for Spurs. Your team just isn't as good as what you want them to be, and that's okay. There are hardly any Spurs players that get into the current chelsea team. They were never ever going to win that match
Spoiler: Ange isn't the problem, as spurs fans have been saying for a long time, it's the decisions that are being made by the owners and Levy. Also, what other managers are there at the moment that stand out? Iraola?
"Ange isn't the problem" - That can be true in terms of Spurs as an identity. However, that can only be true if you think the current strategy that Ange is conveying to the players is perfect. I don't really feel like this game is that bad of a sign. Speaking as a Villa fan I saw us perform excellently for 45 minutes & then get shredded in the 2nd half by Spurs so it's clear they've got the talent it's just a matter of balancing rather than being 100% aggression. I do wonder if at the end of the season they finish 7th/8th , will he be sacked? If so then he needs to change because currently they look that way, although as I said I'm not casting any shade considering Villa didn't win a game for 6 weeks & aren't looking anything like themselves so maybe he can turn it around.
If Spurs had owners who wanted success on the the pitch Ange would never have been appointed. He is now part of the problem until he's sacked or he does he does the impossible and turns things around

Ange is extracting the maximum out of those players. They are just brainless, Solanke is not enough in the transfer market. Tottenham never win anything, Ange hasn't had the transfer outlay to put pressure on winning major things. The remit for Ange was not to become a winner, it was to change boring football into an identity, and he's done this. That squad needs major upgrades.

Merson talking about players hiding, Leicester fans saw this with Maddison, when we were doing well and attacking freely in the previous years he was a joy to watch, the 12 months leading to our relegation he would show those moments of magic and get a few goals, but his general play levels dropped massively, he wasn’t a leader on the pitch at all.
Spurs are actually quite good I think. The attacking connections and patterns are top level. They just need to be more sensible defensively. I cant understand why they dont adapt at all. Why has it become this thing with managers that teams must play one way. In what worlkd is being one dimensional better than being flexible?
Spurs whole approach just looks random to me. Players everywhere all sprinting into every challenge at 100mph, smashing into people hoping to get away fouls. Yes it’s how they score their goals, but it’s also how they concede so many. Especially against teams that can move the ball well. It’s not even good football to me.
Its their defence. Literally every game they fall apart on set pieces, their defenders stopped against fulham when raul got a free shot. Their defence is a shambles and they do not seem to address it.
Remember when they applauded the 9 men playing that high line. Ange gone from being called brave for sticking to his principles to not adapting enough to game states. Thats the media for you, mate.
Should have been 5 nil up after 20 minute, sons 2 attempts into the angle of the goal hit them to hard and udogie 3 yardout just hit dont tickle it. Sancho goal dont back of him go and put a challenge in
When Jose got to a final, and levy sacked him because he would have had to pay him an increase bonus for winning, that’s when I realised spurs are never going to win anything until levy leaves.
Carra seems to be forgetting when he says the old Barca were Barca they play their way and other teams deal with it .. this is what shankley and the boot room said years ago when asked how they would deal with opposition it was Liverpool who said we play our way well before Barca!
If you sit in and try to defend against an Ange team, they'll tear you up. However, if you play forward and attack them, you score against them. It's been the same everywhere he's been.
People complain when teams park the bus and defend and now the neutral pundits are complaining because the game was too fast and too many goals, embrace it ,the match was unbelievable to watch . Thank you Postecoglou for making the premiership more exciting to view
Doesn't necessarily have to change his principles and the way he sees football. Guardiola changed his team but he has never changed his philosophy. This reminds me of when English media were saying Pep had to change and his way would never work in the Premier League after 16-17. Obviously Ange is not working with that kind of budget and level of squad, this squad is young and needs time to develop some consistency but there are plenty of positives to see. Lots of football left to play in the season, no reason why Spurs can't go on a good run in the league and Europe.
Ange got away with it in Japan and Scotland. Premiere League where every single team has quality up front they will punish you if you make a mistake or play too open at the back. He’s finding that out real time. Won’t last at Spurs this way.
Bissouma is a problem. I don't think he's clever or responsible enough for that critical role, and he's demonstrated it time and again. Not just on the pitch either. Ange can play this way and win, but not with these players at 4, 5 and 6.
You guys will all be sitting in those seats in 4 years. None of the current PL managers will be in their positions. Ange knows this, he's not stupid and is going for it.
I like Ange, and I’m not a Spurs fan, but he needs to install some steel into the midfield and the backs. They need a ball playing destroyer attacking is one thing but if you want to manage a game and defend you need a spine but, will Daniel buy him one?
As a Liverpool fan when I saw it was 2 nil, I knew Chelsea will win. I said before the game to my Dad "we need Spurs to not do a Spurs". Low and behold...
All you have to know is the performances of their previous managers, the fans and the media lost patience with.....Antonio Conte sitting second behind Atalanta he has a 75% win ratio. Jose Mourinho also sits second with Fenbache in the Turkish Supa Liga with a 61% win Ratio This proves they have a good squad but no patience . For club of Spurs stature they need to hold their metal ...because you can guarantee if Postecoglue leaves he will definitely be successful elsewhere. In other words be patient.
Funny, because one of Carraghers managers at Liverpool did come out after a defeat and said "I thought it was our best performance of the season" - Roy Hodgson after losing 2-0 to Everton at Anfield in the 2010-11 season. The reaction was for Fan groups to call for his resignation & fan's at the matches turned on him to such an extent they started chanting "Hodgson for England" - he was only 15 games into his Liverpool career at that point (and had delivered just 1 win in his first 8 league games up to that point). Sometimes, the mentality of the manager just doesn't match with the club's ambitions / the view of the fan's. There's clearly tension between Ange & Spurs fan's since he wanted to try and beat City last season, even though it would be "doing Arsenal a favour" - and Levy won't be happy with a midtable position. Strange they keep playing like this when in the City game they actually seemed to defend a bit after taking the lead and got a very good win because of it. Why can't they play like that all the time, and why is Ange seemingly so stubborn about trying it against teams that aren't City? Comes across like he thinks he's still at Celtic, and can just outscore other teams.
The question at four minutes 50 seconds LOL that question would make sense if Tottenham were currently in the top four. But they are not, and they are not by a long long way.
Liverpool at Anfield in the second Half against City relaxed a bit, let them have the ball and looked to hit them on the Counter. Thats how u play to win.
Sick of Big Ange copping the brunt, end of the day the players are out there on the pitch, they know how to play the game. Unfortunately Tottenham don’t have a world class striker layers that can change a game, Chelsea does in Palmer that the difference here
Why don't carra, merse and redknapp get a job coaching and show us all how easy it is to coach a premier league side because you have plenty to say from your chair.
Next season? Dude won't see the New Year if they don't improve. His record in the 43 games since he joined, given the insane money he's spent, is horrible. 18 wins, 19 losses.
In the last 40 years if tottenham went 2 nil up you wouldnt back them to win. Thats what tottenham is all about. In fact you’d consider whether the other team had 3 goals in them
The two dms were defending inside the box, in between the center backs… why? Who presses the ball outside the box? Imean this is so simple. Enzos goal could have been prevented by just having the dms outside of the box
Spurs defence been savaged by injuries. Compare the investment between Spurs and Chelsea look at the benches. You can't compete in the top four without investment and that comes down to Levy.
You would have to be deluded to think that Carragher or Redknapp could do a better job than this manager. With the current limitations of the squad they are operating at maximum of their abilities. They had more pragmatic managers in Mourihno and Santo, where did that get them? I remember everyone was bored watching them 🤦♂
Agreed Manager needs to dial it back but he refuses to do so it's on him. As for Levy and ENIC we all what their priorities are , Money. They've turned the football club in a cash cow it's no longer a football club it's an events venue.
@@raymondrichards9262 I dont think its a case of dialing back as such. I think it boils down to confidence. Full squad playing together for half a season without too many injuries and players would have a lot more confidence in themselves. If we feel they're vunerable, we can be sure the people who are actually going through it feel the same. When confident they will feel more when and when not to press for example. When not so, they will work harder, stretch more, be more aggresive when no real need to be, just because evrything doesnt flow naturally. We need a decent single pivot 6 instead of Bissouma, to offer more defensively when needed than Bentancur, Play Bentancur when we can be more expressive. That alone will help bring confidence in stability, just someone who can protect the CB's properly.
Get your cheque book out Levy. Thomas Frank plays great football but he’s a bit more pragmatic than the current incumbent. Save Ange the humiliation at Rangers.

I don't get the issue, honestly. Spurs only turn it on when big teams play them and even then, they rarely won. If they carry on like this, there will soon be 19 bigger teams and they can walk the league. Let's be serious, Ange won't be in the job come Tuesday.
Strangely, forwards are defending, but why do defenders have such a strong desire to score goals? The problem seems serious. If the manager doesn't sort out this issue, Spurs has no hope.😂😂😂

@@DeviousLick711 it's even worse than that, it's more like "I'd rather lose 4-3 than win 1-0"
Ange has lost more games than Mourinho and Conte combined
@@DeviousLick711if you score 4 than you’re more likely to win than winning only scoring 1. Arsenal have tried to 1-0 their way to a title and look how that worked out…
spurs were 2-0 up and somehow getting caught on the counter due to pressing ridiculously high, that's on ange
Tottenham didn't deserve to be 2-0 up. They were absolutely battered by chelsea and had cucurella worm the right boots, it would finished 4 or 5 nil. At no point did I think chelsea would lose that game, even at 2-0
@@jdodger1091 So Ange is even worse than he said, how do you think this is defending Ange?
@@Freestyle80 I'm not defending Ange? At what point did I say I was? Simply stating a fact
@@jdodger1091 but at 2-0 if the manager had better tactics and were better built they’d have won
Spurs dont have that bad of a squad
@Freestyle80 disagree. Spurs aren't good enough to defend. Similar to how Liverpool were the first 6 months under Klopp. It was all out attack as their defence was woeful. Its currently the same for Spurs. Your team just isn't as good as what you want them to be, and that's okay. There are hardly any Spurs players that get into the current chelsea team. They were never ever going to win that match
Redknapp pretty much summarised Dr Tottenham
Spoiler: Ange isn't the problem, as spurs fans have been saying for a long time, it's the decisions that are being made by the owners and Levy.
Also, what other managers are there at the moment that stand out? Iraola?
Both are the problem
Exactly, the people blaming ange must have the memory of goldfish
He's a clown
If Spurs had owners who wanted success on the the pitch Ange would never have been appointed. He is now part of the problem until he's sacked or he does he does the impossible and turns things around
" it's beautiful because it means that maybe they finally understand that nice guya have been the issue of this club's naivety for too long "

Nobody takes Tottenham seriously. The problem is not the manager, it's the club. It's just a club of bottlers.
Exactly same as Arsenal. Total bottlers!!
😂@@kenneththompson8933
Spurs and Arsenal are joke clubs exactly like their fan base and management. ❤
Actually all English clubs except Liverpool and City are bottlers
@@Adam-l2gLiverpool bottled the title last season or whenever it was, they was top for a while and then it slipped
It’s pretty simple he’s outta his depth, after gameweek 11 last season he was found out and since that loss he’s done nothing to change it. He keeps talking about “playing our way” even tho it’s not sustainable, he’s either unbelievably cocky or beyond stupid? Either way this lack of flexibility is killing Tottenham hence why they’re so up & down🤧.
Peps doing the exact same thing at the moment and people call him the greatest manager ever
They did the same under mourinho and conte… nothing to do with the manager.
Ange OUT! 👎
@@benknight6254 Oh come off it, guy’s won 4 league titles in a row, a treble & played some of the best football the premiership has even seen. Ange is playing a slightly better version of Bielsa & it’s doing absolutely nothing🤦♂️.
@@benknight6254 He won the treble and 4 titles, he's not so bad.
It's so strange that managers say "it's our style, or we won't change the way we play." All the best managers adapted to each game, you have to adapt
I think a good manager like Slot would be getting better results with this squad.
That was anges issue with us at Celtic in Europe. He never switched up how we played against better teams which lead to some hammerings
We had a massive gulf in quality compared to our peers
It’s not the manager, it’s the owners it has been for years
Are the owners making the team play that way?
@@Luke-qr2ybowners don’t give ange enough budget to go out and buy proper quality. Instead we get in average players that cause problems. So yes, owners to blame.

Can’t just keep changing the manager. Not just spurs but you need to give a manager time. I’d like to see more teams judge a manager after 3years
They didn’t lose because his style they lost because of 2 individuals who gave away dumb penalties
but football is not an individual sport mate
@@ellislung3349your response is pretty bad mate . It's a fact two ridiculous challenges for two penalties
Their was literally no danger for both them pens , the players are weak mentally. Imagine giving up two 2 goal leads and losing both games
Chelsea gifted Spurs two goals!
Chelsea were definitely the better team and if Spurs continue with this inconsistency, Ange will face the SACK!
But when you’re 2-0 up, don’t you think you could tuck in and dominate possession instead of still playing open football?
This is the history of the Tottenham
Spurs are actually quite good I think. The attacking connections and patterns are top level. They just need to be more sensible defensively. I cant understand why they dont adapt at all. Why has it become this thing with managers that teams must play one way. In what worlkd is being one dimensional better than being flexible?
Spurs whole approach just looks random to me. Players everywhere all sprinting into every challenge at 100mph, smashing into people hoping to get away fouls. Yes it’s how they score their goals, but it’s also how they concede so many. Especially against teams that can move the ball well. It’s not even good football to me.
It’s almost as if Tottenham don’t want to win a 1-0 they wanna pump 4 goals past the opp every single game
I hope Ange should listen to this. He don’t want to change he is very stubborn
Its their defence. Literally every game they fall apart on set pieces, their defenders stopped against fulham when raul got a free shot. Their defence is a shambles and they do not seem to address it.
Great question - why if the way you’ve been playing has got you 2-0 up should you change - they had no answer
Remember when they applauded the 9 men playing that high line. Ange gone from being called brave for sticking to his principles to not adapting enough to game states. Thats the media for you, mate.
Carragher pouting in some gigs thinking he`s Jean Paul Sartre
Prob Glassless 😂
The manager never seems to gee up the players during the game.looks at the floor a lot.anybody could win titles with celtic
Should have been 5 nil up after 20 minute, sons 2 attempts into the angle of the goal hit them to hard and udogie 3 yardout just hit dont tickle it. Sancho goal dont back of him go and put a challenge in
Jamie Carragher, pauses speaking, then makes big controversial statement. Every single time he speaks
What did he say that's controversial?
Spurs' goal difference for a mid table position is crazy!
Lots of football left to play in the season, no reason why Spurs can't go on a good run in the league and Europe.
those pens were a result of midfielders being daft/rash in the box! spurs need better game management and discipline else they are going nowhere!
Ange needs to be proefessional and stop lashing out at criticism. It’s embarrassing for a professional manager
Ange got away with it in Japan and Scotland. Premiere League where every single team has quality up front they will punish you if you make a mistake or play too open at the back. He’s finding that out real time. Won’t last at Spurs this way.

Carra dreaming of a pair of Puma Kings, Reebok Classics or Adidas Torsion and a Kappa trackie. Or Sergio Tacchini poppers.
Carra is moaning about spurs because he wanted them to win
Ya it was obvious when he said caicedo should of been send of for that challenge
Jose Mourinho also sits second with Fenbache in the Turkish Supa Liga with a 61% win Ratio
This proves they have a good squad but no patience . For club of Spurs stature they need to hold their metal ...because you can guarantee if Postecoglue leaves he will definitely be successful elsewhere. In other words be patient.
Yeah, but when they are winning three or four nil, they've got the best training ground celebration routines. That has to count for something.
Carra said conceding 4 goals. Not losing. You can play well and still lose.
This all comes back to the rant Conte had in that press conference...as he stated Spurs can carry on the same cycle yet get nowhere
Ange can’t change. He’s doesn’t know how. Ange should go now before the Tamworth game which is going to be a disaster.
Next season? Dude won't see the New Year if they don't improve. His record in the 43 games since he joined, given the insane money he's spent, is horrible. 18 wins, 19 losses.
We don’t have the team to play that way, poor defensively, nor do we have the depth.
He's tactics may work but not with this spurs team.
When the tactics for winning 4-0 in Scotland every week don’t work 😮
Yeah damn tactics giving away 2 of the stupidest penalties I’ve ever seen 😮
In the last 40 years if tottenham went 2 nil up you wouldnt back them to win. Thats what tottenham is all about. In fact you’d consider whether the other team had 3 goals in them
Spurs have several players who are too inconsistent. They are great on their day, but not every week. They aren't winners.
The two dms were defending inside the box, in between the center backs… why? Who presses the ball outside the box? Imean this is so simple. Enzos goal could have been prevented by just having the dms outside of the box
It’s not the right way to concede four goals in 45 minutes. This reckless style is not like a mature professional team
They play like a team who still put their shoes on with their hands
Spurs defence been savaged by injuries. Compare the investment between Spurs and Chelsea look at the benches. You can't compete in the top four without investment and that comes down to Levy.
You would have to be deluded to think that Carragher or Redknapp could do a better job than this manager. With the current limitations of the squad they are operating at maximum of their abilities. They had more pragmatic managers in Mourihno and Santo, where did that get them? I remember everyone was bored watching them 🤦♂
Has redknapp had work done looks like his face is swellin out, hes a good lookin lad naturally.
Do you see the comparison between Postecoglou and Marcelo Bielsa? Entertaining front-foot football, but unwilling to implement a Plan-B.
He was only successful in scotland as he had no competition but has been found out it the premier league
It’s the owners. Changing managers does nothing
No mention of Caicedo non-red, the squad spend difference or them being up 2nil when Romero got hurt. Carra is annoying.
Carra isn't wrong! Can't concede four goals and say we played well.
To be honest, Spurs played way too much down the lines, and didn't really have any end product from there. I barely saw them play through the middle.
Ive been saying the same as Carra for weeks, We just need to be more measured in out intensity
????😂😂 He wont be here?? His fine at spurs, as long as they get passed any semi finals or near a cup finals.. Ange's job is absolutely fine, playing attractive football getting the fans into the stadium... Is absolutely the spurs way of football..
I don't even think Merse understands what he's saying
If you sack him you go and get back Jose and let him actually continue what he started.
I don't get the issue, honestly. Spurs only turn it on when big teams play them and even then, they rarely won. If they carry on like this, there will soon be 19 bigger teams and they can walk the league. Let's be serious, Ange won't be in the job come Tuesday.
Even been given a 2 goal lead by Cucurella and they still bottled it. Cant get more Spursy than that!
if it doesnt change he wont be here next season? wow we all needed a pundit of the highest esteem to tell us that.
I loved the eras of ardiles hoddle graham roberts perryman todays spurs players are bunch of tossers
Subtitles needed for Carragher!
Why are such videos not being made about Pep?
Strangely, forwards are defending, but why do defenders have such a strong desire to score goals? The problem seems serious. If the manager doesn't sort out this issue, Spurs has no hope.😂😂😂
