The song a robin sings, Through years of endless springs, The murmur of a brook at evening tides. That ripples through a nook where two lovers hide. That great symphonic theme, That's Stella by starlight, And not a dream, My heart and I agree, She's everything on this earth to me. Yes ! If you don't make money with the video and if you put a link to my channel (or to the backing track) in the video description. If you want to sell the music, please contact me.
You should learn to arpeggiate throughout the song and then practice linear method. Then all standards are equally easy/hard to play. If you just try to use one scale throughout it's harder to outline the changes anyway.
On the 7th it's right but on the dominant chord you have the 9 instead of a b9 you usually have on the minor. II/V/I minor is better to be considered ad it is: a II/V/I on the minor harmonic scale. Any modal scale based on the mayor is wrong in any way or doesn't have the right sound. IMHO.
I'd begin using only one single note (for example the third: play the 3rd of any chord. Then add the 7th and you have the lead tones, than the 5th and 1st and then add the tensions for every chord). To play the chord tone (arpeggios) of every single chord is already a good point to start.

What are these chords with a trangle next to the letter? What type of chords are these? I haven't met this musical notation yet...

it's like no matter what I play over this, it never sounds right.
Sing the melody.
It took me a while to get used to it since this tune is really out there with its unconventional harmonies.
Just a amazig work!!!
Muy buena pista!!!! Que buen gusto!!! (Good taste) Gracias!!!
do you have a version without bass? that would be amazing! I need it for an audition
Thank you. Wonderful
I play Ab lydian dominant over Ab7 (meters 8, 21-22)

muy bueno gracias!! ,me ayudo mucho.
this song is a fucking nightmare to improvise in u.u
+Martìn Arguello hahahahahaha so agree with you man xD
+Martìn Arguello but it gives you also a lot of choices to be creative while improvising

Major sevenths -
why does the half dim E chord at the top sound like Amaj/E?
This chord is a Em7b5 with a perfect 11th at the top : A. It may sound like a BbMaj7 13 /E if that's what you mean.
It actually sounds like a Dmaj with an E in the root. Must be my ears.
Or a E7sus4
The guitar might be playing a E7sus4 but the bassline has a Bb in the 1st measure
@@ceroth5625 you gotta be kidding, Dmaj with E in the root is the same as the damn Em7b5
thanks for the video

how do I find a backing track for Horace Silver's "song for my father"?
tkanks
très bon
les O barrés cest les b5?
Oui : m7b5
Ok merci pour ta réponse!
SALUT
que veux dire le O barré et le triangle pointe en haut
merci pour le partage
Philippe Boyer Salete, Phillipe. O with / is a half dim (-7b5) and triangle is a major 7th (or 7+)
You should be using whole half diminished scale
This would be easier to read if the background was white with black text
It might be, but I like it this way. Easier on the eyes.
Use should improvise using E flat melodic minor. Job done.
