Thank you Brad for a fabulous job, so precise, attention to detail beyond the call of duty 👍 I'm blown out by the professionalism and achieving the best my amp. Has never sounded this good since I bought it back in 1996...Love your work...Pete...
It warms my hear to hear such things, mate. I hope it provides a lifetime of faithful service, but of course, if anything isn't satisfactory in the future, be sure to reach out and I'll sort it out for you, mate.
Outstanding comes to mind and I see the previous comment felt the same. Thx so much for the post and share. Its most refreshing to see craftsmanship and integrity in this day and age.
your Attention to detail means everything especially on a vintage amp like this .I like that you did away from the can cap ,well done Brad another Great repair in the books !!!1.Boy she sounds Great gotta love the sound of this amp
Fantastic detailed work you can be proud of and it sounds great. A little drop of super glue on the threaded inserts of the baffle will make it even more secure.
Hey Brad, do you have any tips for a back panel of a tweed deluxe that is leaving a small gap between it and the chassis? I suspect the panel may be slightly oversized and thus warping in the middle when put in place
I found and old/new Phiilips Ecc83 that was so microphonic that just by tapping the cabinet ( Tweed Dlux) it would sound like a drum . The drummer was so amused that they put stix down and sat next tk the amp and used it as a bass drum by tapping his thumb on the side of the cab..that lasted 4 mins and I pulled it and replaced the old/new Phillips with the ubiquitous JJ ecc83s( good but some din't last very long) The phillps looked new but must have been 40 years old maybe more. Which do you recomend for a V1 in a Fender 20/40watt combo just for robustness and if poss a smoothe drive sound?
Nice work as always! Do the large axial filter supply caps offer any better specs such as ESR and ripple over the radials, or am I talking out me arse?
Regarding the TAD 'Summer of 69' 6V6 valves - I have had some in my own Princeton Reverb and I suspect one of them has an intermittent short between screen grid and suppressor. I no longer trust them!
Cable sets AU$100 ea. Likely about AU $30-40 shipping. flick me an email with your model of amp (I make them for PR's, DR's & Twins) and address for a more accurate quote.
Owner should be proud. Nice work.
I'm not a tech but enjoy watching a good one work. Very good sounding amp.

The Power Capacitor solution is slick. Nice Job.
Outstanding craftsmanship!! That amp is a true gem and deserves the respect provided by brother Brad.
Fine work sir. Fixin the world one amp at a time. Sounds tasty! Getting me pumped for my upcoming Princeton build.
Excellent job! That thing looks so clean it’s almost like a re-issue! I like those RCA jacks too.
That does appear to be the original tank. Top notch work as always.
Good professional rework!

Wow sounds phenomenal!
Very tidy looking solution for the filter caps. Great work as usual.
Clean looking work!

That's how I make replacement reverb send/receive cables. They are expensive to make but sound fantastic and weill last a really long time.
sounds freakin amazing
Thank you for not twisting the negative leads of the cathode bypass caps! It triggers me when people do that.
Brilliant job.
Very nice work. Thanks for sharing all that practical experience.
Nice job, sweet sounding Prince

I’m into this right now.
That capacitor board you made is really nice work man. I think it looks better laying down like that.
It sounds wonderful good job brad
Not that you need my approval, Brad, but I like your little tag-board for the radial capacitors. 👍
Great job brad
Love it... great work as always fella.
Thanks for the video.
Well done Brad. The plastic bottom covers for the footswitch are a pain when damaged or missing.
Great job 👍
that reverb is sweeeet
Nice work as always Brad. Just wondering why in this case you didn't repurpose the ground switch to something useful. Thanks, Brad
Smart job
I can’t look at a chassis anymore without saying “Shazzy”.
Crazy!
Brad, if you could makeover my wife as good as this, I'd let you keep the bag of used parts.
Go and give your wife a hug, mate.
If she puts up with half of what Michelle does, she's solid gold.
@BradsGuitarGarage She's pretty solid - not quite gold, but a quick bath in evaporust and she polishes up damn nice.

My TAD 6v6str went crap after a month or two also. Wish I’d seen this before I bought it.
Get in touch with TAD, mate. They're very good about returns and want to keep their customers happy.

Even the best $20+ axial caps on the market come nowhere near the excellent specs of a $2-3 radial from a good manufacturer.
Excellent. I hate all the space they take up.
Amp crumbs!!
