I'm so pleased to see this! I'm a textile designer and have used all of those machines before. It's very cool to see the design, pattern cutting and making in process again on a factory basis, it's been more than a decade since I worked on a factory basis.
EDIT - I wonder if JaYoe will be her first or second word?...
I also have that setup on my recumbent bike, really works out because I can put all my valuables in the backpack on top and whenever I go to a grocery store or something I can just undo my backpack and I'll have all my valuables with me :)
+TravelingTice yea. I'll strap my backpack to the top over the rack. But my pack is not waterproof. I'll have to figure that out
Mine isnt too, but I do have a rain cover, just like the one of your panniers for it. It also wraps around the bag and is tied up at the back
Matt, that machine that cuts the patterns out is called a Cut-All, I use to use one for the sign & graphics industry. I love going on factory visits which I do at least once a week now on all different kind of products and yes it's very interesting to see raw materials 1 minute and the next finished product.
Started off with "I am going to make the VLOG short", all good it was perfectly filled with good information, Loved seeing the factory. Tent looked good and I liked it. Eva is getting funnier with every video. She will be taking over the VLOG.....glad she is feeling better.

My panniers are fairly cheap, but they have very similar covers to go over them. In addition I have 4 different sized dry bags in which I can divide my travel gear into. Hopefully that will keep things dry on the road here in Florida. I also have a nice heavy duty dry bag that I originally bought for my boating expeditions which I plan on using as my main waterproof bag on the rack itself which I need to tie on top. I want to get two custom Arkel bags to fit in the frame pockets on either side of my Catrike to carry bits and bobs in. at that point I will be at my weight limit so that will have to do. I do have a Chinese copy of a Bob Yak trailer, but that really is more for local use and I don't anticipate taking it on long travels. I think my main problem is how much and what I really need vs what I'd like to take!
OMG this is my favorite episode to date man I love factories too and watching this just made my day I just find them so interesting these tents are pricy as hell but fing cool man!
if you go with one of those luvly hybrids!! you will need the under quilt or what ever they call there installation for the bottom! i camp with a hammock. go to shugemery's channel to get a quick low down on hammock camping. you need to treat the tinsel tents like a hammock.

I may have to get one of those 3 person stingray tents. I use to go tenting during my university years. keeping off the ground is the biggest plus for me. Too many rainy nights with puddles forming at the edges of the tent constantly threatening to seep in.
It looks cool, not too small but I don't know about the 3 point harness, you might find it had to always find 3 hookup points
The Tensile tent is 3 kilo. But the 3 trees you need to carry are 3 tons.
I should get a tent and go camping I haven't done it for years .... some decent tents here too 🤗

Last question, your trike seems to be tricked out, do you have a list of things that you changed or upgraded?
I like that tent, but like you I already have a tent and a hammock so which one will I settle on. Decisions, decisions.
Why get covers for your bags and not just get your bags waterproofed?

Not a fan of those tents. Not realy, realy, practical...Specialy the need to allways have a 3 point lay out. Im pretty sure there will be places on ur journey where not even one tree will exist for miles on end...
Although those tents can be quite usefull in Brasil, where spiders and other insects crawl everywhere!
I guess, it can come in handy in humid countries with a high insect population.
Regardless, go for a solo Terra Nova tent, Laser 1 or the Laser 2(for "2" ppl). If u have more money to spend, buy a Hillberg.
Just carry some insect repellent powder when in need. Job done
Check out a TH-camr called Dave Erasmus. He's An English guy setting up a socially-concious community in the woods and in his last blog he set up one of those tents. maybe you could ask him how practical it is
