    Those Paper/Card style gaskets have been used in air cooled engines for decades.

      I believe your referring to the head gasket I discussed which you’d be correct they’re a very common gasket found in allot of air cooled or even just lower compression/performance style applications I just prefer using a more modern multi layer steel gasket when possible since it lasts longer but it’s Also thinner to aid in increasing the compression ratio

      What exactly do you need for it? I’m sure I can get you the links for everything…if it’s a top end you need I sell big bore kits for them

      @Jboost412 you sell the big bore kits? Cause the only ones I found was on moto cheese for roughly 100 but shipping sucks cause it's 45 bucks from china

    if you really want to make decent power you need to get a hold of a Zongshen cbs300 or a nb300 engine.

    Does anyone know what the cylinder should test on a compression test when cold? I got about 135, but I cannot find a true specification.

    • @Jboost412
      @Jboost412  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Roughly 150psi is what you should have with a good top end rings gaskets etc & the valves being adjusted correctly will affect that number too

    • @rogergillette8426
      @rogergillette8426 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Jboost412 is that when cold?

    • @Jboost412
      @Jboost412  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well most compression tests are typically ran on a cold engine but it shouldn’t fluctuate much either way

      @@Jboost412 I've always done compression on warm car engines - it's usually recommended that way in repair manuals.

    • @Jboost412
      @Jboost412  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      When you think about it most compression tests are done on vehicles that are currently “in-op” so we do them cold first then warm to compare numbers but there shouldn’t be more then a few psi difference between hot & cold if the gaskets & rings are good valve seals are good & everything is otherwise setup properly
