My Mum was a very busy Mum & like you, she tried her best to ensure we had a healthy balanced diet with fruit & vegetables etc, but we did have shop bought stuff like quiches, turkey drummers, turkey steaks sometimes because otherwise she'd never get anything done if she was just working, cooking & cleaning. Hi Hannah, that is really distressing to hear that people make judgmental comments to you. You are right they shouldn't watch if that's their attitude. I have said before that I think you make consistently smart food choices and also budget appropriate. Look at all the healthy proteins, and fruit and veg and carbs you give everyone, plus there is always loads. My house barely has any food and it is not a good situation, so keep your morale up and know that you know best for your family, I am also sure that kids whose parents dont buy them treats probably are less happy too.
