"The MAC Spoofing feature is available in all our desktop apps including Windows 10/11, Mac OS X and Linux. " So I spend 5 minutes looking through the Linux desktop app for MAC spoofing - no sign. I ask "Garry" and "Garry" tells me, "sorry, but the MAC spoofing feature is NOT available on Linux, after all!" I see from comments below it's not available for Apple, either. Great job!
this is really helpful, my coffeeshop around the corner limits wifi to 2 hours per customer per day, regardless of how much you pay, eat, drink or have sex on the toilet there. Now I can spend my whole day sipping on that one small cappuccino I order in the morning. Hurray
Yes your phone already has this. This video is referring to the desktop app. The video description clearly says "The MAC Spoofing feature is available in all our desktop apps including Windows 10/11, Mac OS X and Linux. "
So if someone is connecting to their home network, and then turns on this VPN, and this VPN spoofs the device's MAC address, will the home network suddenly not recognise the device and disconnect it?
NOT AVAILABLE on macOS 14.6. Another question, let's say that I connect first to one of those public wifis and only then turn on windscribe, they're gonna be able to track my mac anyways, right? I've seen cases where only without VPN I was able to connect...
I don't know how Windscribe is coded and I'm no expert but they would not have made this video and incorporated this feature in to the application unless they'd thought of this in alpha/beta testing. If not, this issue should be fixed or this feature should be removed from the application in an update. Though, it would still protect your privacy when visiting websites, so there's that... Just my $0.02... I'd really like to hear from the Windscribe team to clarify this excellent question, either way...
Proton is better. I am moving there on the paid side because all Windscribe does is tell jokes and make mistakes. Proton doesn't make jokes, nor mistakes.

Looks great, but this option is greyed out for Macs (MBP M1 Pro running 14.6.1)

My favorite VPN :)
'Package "windscribe-2.10.15-0.x86_64" is already installed.' So no mac spoofing on Linux eh?
Isn't that already a feature on Android smartphones? I have the option for "use random MAC-address" that is on by default when I connect to a network.

Typically, and by that I mean by default, no. But it depends on how the network is configured.
@@censored7881 exactly, it will only reject the device if configured to reject unknown MAC addresses
only if you have MAC-Filter enabled in your router.
viola! mac spoofed! duck you and duck you and duck you starducks!
great explanation
This is gonna be verrry useful to me 😊
Can you spoof Mac via android? I dont see it

In this scenario I would manually rotate the mac address just to be safe. It might not help but it won't hurt either.
is windscribe and proton vpn the best free vpn for all devices?
Proton is better. I am moving there on the paid side because all Windscribe does is tell jokes and make mistakes. Proton doesn't make jokes, nor mistakes.
@@Roberta80 Thxs could you also tell me if there is any other better ones than proton if possible? free ones?
I prefer windscribe and consider it the best free vpn, it's very fast and works in countries where no other vpns (even paid ones) would work.

Ah, yes, except *THERE IS NO* "MAC Spoofing" item in my "Connection" menu, even though I'm running the latest version. Good stuff. Good, good stuff.
Any chance you're on mobile? Because he did say "desktop app"
I cannot see this application on Android.....only gps spoofing!!!
Android already has its own mac spoofing by default. This is for the desktop app. Basically meant for laptops and tablets.
am only seeing Gps spoofing instead of mac spoofing
