My top trade targets that are possibly on the block are:
1. CG Anfernee Simons - Blazers. 2. G/F Mikal Bridges - Nets 3. PG Trae Young - Hawks 4. PG Darius Garland - Cavs. I would add both Simons and Bridges, but definitely Simons, if possible and use Cole Anthony, Jett Howard, Caleb Houstan, and lots of draft compensation as collateral while trying to keep our frontcourt intact and our 2 young defensive backcourt studs in Suggs and Black. We can probably get Simons for mostly draft compensation, but with Bridges, it would probably take draft picks and a couple young shooters. I would like to keep both Jett and Caleb, but would be willing to part with them if we can land a far more versatile higher upside player like Bridges.
Man, the Magic really could have done so much better than Howard at 11 last year. He will be good, but not as good as a few other guys taken after him. My top 3 prospects on the board at 11 were 1. Jordan Hawkins (the game of a young Klay Thompson in the body of a young Kerry Kittles) 2. Grady Dick 3. Keyonte George. In hindsight my top 2 picks would have been 1. Hawkins and 2. George (who proved to be a far better playmaker and passer than I thought, allowing him to play as a tall PG instead of an average height ball dominant SG). Dick was good, but not on either one of their levels last year. Podziemski would have been better than Howard, who is a spot up shooter, which just isn't as valuable as players who are in constant motion a la Steph and Klay in their heyday.
In this year's draft the Magic have pick 18 and the 5 players I most like that could be there at 18 or available with a small trade up to 12 -15 are:
1. PG Jared McCain - Duke (being criminally undervalued and has a game similar to a young Steph Curry - can play point, shoot the lights out of the ball with deep range and will be in constant motion when the ball is not in his hands) - he might end up the best player in this draft a la Steph Curry or Donovan Mitchell
2. C Kal'el Ware - Indiana (Similar body type, athletic profile, and game to Sarr. but far better rebounder. Has a good shot with range, good rebounder and shot blocker, has some post up moves and is a really good passer)
3. PF Tyler Smith - G League Ignite (a cross between Bam Adebayo and Kevin Durant - not saying on that level, but is very bouncy and is a good shot blocker at 6'9" with long arms and a sweet looking jumper with deep range. Is a great lob threat and cutter to the basket as well)
4. CG Carlton "Bub" Carrington - Pitt (has a really good all around game, plays with pace and can run the show as a tall PG with a solid shooting stroke, good handles and good passing - good defender as well)
5.SF Tristan Da Silva - Colorado (tall, long, and thin with a sweet shooting stroke from deep and good all around game)
There are others that would be solid picks as well, but these are my favorite.
My free agent targets would be as follows and depending on what trades and or draft picks are made:
1. CG Malik Monk - Kings 2. SG Gary Trent, Jr. - Raptors 3. CG Isaiah Likely - Raptors 4. PG Tyus Jones - Wizards 5. SF Patrick Williams - Bulls. I do not want to sign players in their mid to late 30s - that's a different timeline than the one we are working on now. Our core is too young and should only be looking to sign players in their 20s to early 30s. If we are able to say, in some fantasy get both Simons and Bridges in trade, keep our frontcourt intact, keep our 2 young defensive backcourt studs in Suggs and Black, then, and only then, would I consider signing Klay Thompson or Paul George to provide the veteran leadership needed in the playoffs, but would still prefer to sign the lesser, but much younger, Gary Trent, Jr. in that case.
Bad drafts are the drafts where you find older players ready to compete. A back up defensive wing, or a 7fter should be the pick. A more aggressive Chuma would take ingles minutes. And I believe we bring back Markelle.
Let's hope Fultz will extend with us the magic forever!!.

If we do keep the pick, I feel we will draft Baylor Scheierman. Joe Ingles team option will not be picked up & I won’t be surprised if he’s coaching for the Magic this coming year. Baylor will step right into Joe ingles role from last year. He is Joe Ingles 2.0 & has the potential to be an elite role player.

I hope they trade the first round pick and a 2025 2nd round pick for a 2025 first round pick. I think having 3 first round picks next year would be nice to have and they'll have an even better understanding of what they have roster wise next year.

Markelle Fultz has to be the starter point guard. This is my dream. Just Paolo is a star. Fultz is our best player. Has to extend. Can't wait, praying for him.

Mark Cuban and Atlanta jumped in front of us and made that deal to swap Doncic for Young, which boggles my mind to this day as to why Atlanta would do that deal. Look, I could care less what people was saying about Luka not being a fit in Atlanta, why, because Atlanta culture is predominantly black people? Either at that time or now, I don't care, I'm keeping Luka Doncic
No old injury prone players costing all of the cap space. Buddy one dimensional head case. Sign Monk, and Claxton. trade for Jones and meet all of the team’s needs. Facilitators shooters and a center who defends and is a rim runner and rebounder.
None of next years big named FA are going anywhere. Its fools gold to wait for next summer

I would trade off Wendell Carter , Cole Anthony , A.black and this years 1st round pick for Dejounte Murray and put him at PG. A core of Banchero, Wagner and Murray is insane.. I say Murray would be the best option and fits our identity of long versatile players. Another important thing is you can give away less trading for Murray . The magic should just use their free agent money worrying about signing a pure shooter and a back up center. I honestly think them starting Moritz at center would be best . He's way more effective then Wendell and way more consistent health wise.

the magic have to sign a star player to show paolo there commited to winning. if they waste a summer of having 50 million in cap space to sign role players like monk jones ect us as fans cant get mad when paolo leaves this franchise cause hes tired of losing. so when that time happens dont boo him cause he left this team when they had 50 million in cap and they signed role players when they should had gone after a big fish booo the front office and ownership

This will be the draft we get a 7’0ft beast. I believe we have a starting 5 if we do so. It won’t be the 5 right now but 3 years from now it’ll be AB Suggs Franz P and whoever we nab this year
I’ve been speculating that they draft Edey as a defensive prospect. Our pick is in an awkward spot based on how well this season went.
jalen suggs is still over rated.... he is a role player not a star. the magic need a star player to ease the load of franz and paolo and if the magic dont act dont get mad when paolo down the line looks for other teams. it happened with shaq dwight and it will happen again with paolo espeically is seattle gets a team
