I heard that Hobby Lobby has had a management change and they are cutting back on their craft supplies and adding more home decor. I can definitely hear that your store doesn't have the nice, soft Christian music the we have had in our store. I don't like the changes but seeing you buying all that yarn makes me want to get in my car and go shopping. Crystal, you are making me turn into a yarn horder. I love it. Thanks for sharing.
I went to my HB yesterday. It's laid out now the way your HB is. It feels like they, Michael's and JoAnn's do just enough to placate us and before long we'll be buying it all online. I've been able to buy some yarns like Rowan, Malabrigo, West Yorkshire Spinners and a few others I've heard you review. I learn so much from you! Thanks for sharing!
I wish the UK had yarn shops like this. When I was a child we had shops that housed fabric, ribbon and wool etc but nowadays it’s so difficult to find one especially where I live in the country. Yes I can order just about anything on line but there is no greater pleasure than spending some time browsing a shop full of beautiful crafty things, holding the items in your hands, smelling them😂etc. thank you Crystal ❤

I'm so glad you went to Hobby Lobby so I could see all the yarn and how they have downsized to only their yarn. That's ok with me. I only go there for their yarn anyway. I love the acrylic Yarn Bee Sugarwheel yarn to make afghans. Gimme Cobbler is my favorite color way. I make one continuous granny square (five cakes) with it and the long stripping looks so good in that pattern. I always get a lot of complements on it. Thanks again for taking us to Hobby Lobby. 😊

I went to Springfield , IL HB today bought 2 yes only 2 skeins of yarn , there just wasn't enough of a selection there like there once was ! went to Michael's and Joann's they all here downsized ! thinking they want to sell yarns online only any more ! I made one of your shawls in that Soft & Sleek DK Burgundy color , it is so light & airy .You should get that sign that says "You Got This " you say it in many of your videos ! Thanks to your awesome videos, I now buy yarn from Herrschners & Premiere too. I have learned so much from watching your videos. I’m so surprised Hobby Lobby cut out an entire isle of yarn. They used to have a good size collection. I haven’t gone to our local Hobby Lobby since Covid started. I usually just order yarn online now and have it shipped. Ps. You did a great job with the camera/ video filming it wasn’t shaky at all.. 💗

With all the yarn downsizing I sure hope they will be offering more options online. HL has so many different types of yarn & that is what I liked about them. I don't use their"I love this yarn" regular acrylics because they pill terribly but their other yarns are yummy. I agree with you Crystal their dye lots vary substantially! I always check match dye lots online and when I am in the store. Haven't shopped there for yarn for a few years because I have an obscene amount of yarn and won't buy anymore unless I run out while making a project. Thank you for showing us the new layout. The Alpaca yarn is really beautiful. I do love their yarn cakes too. So pretty.💕🧶🧶🧶
Oooohhhh..... that sweet delight baby yarn is one of my favorite baby yarns to use. Very soft. Also the I Love This cotton is wonderful, also very soft if anyone gets sick of using the more rougher cotton yarns out there, depends on what project you need for cotton yarn. I always wait for the 30 percent off sale.

Hobby Lobby cut back on a lot of their yarns, especially the cool, unusual ones that I loved. Cut back on other craft & sewing departments also. Employees told me they are making room for more home dec & LINENS!!! At this rate they will need to drop Hobby from their name.
Oh, it just hit me as you said, they will have to take the "Hobby" out. Bed Bath and Beyond is going out of business, so I bet they're going to try and feel their shoes. I hope not, but two weeks ago I was in HL and was wondering why they had so many bath towels sets.

My closest Hobby Lobby is a half hour away. Due to Narcolepsy, I don't drive out of town. A few years ago I managed to hit a clearance sale in full bloom. I litterally loaded up a cart with very nice yarns. Total cost was between $50 and $60. Most of it went into a king sized virus afghan for my eldest daughter.
I made a baby blanket with 4 skiens of the Sugar Wheel. The associate on the floor was so kind to even go to the back & get me 2 more skiens of the same color and make sure they were the same dye lot.
Every time I crochet with I Love this Yarn, I literally say, "I Love this Yarn!". Not kidding.
