This is great. What a day. I was sitting here watching this video and the door bell rang. It was the delivery guy with my Taiga. And I have the day off. This is awesome!
Re: difference between Taiga's and VRL's osc's: The Voltage Research Lab has controls for Assymetry and Axis - haven't seen those controls on either the West Pest or Taiga.
@Pittsburgh Modular Synthesizers thanks for answering my question about Low Pass Gate volume loss. I'm using two Doepfer Low Pass gates now and I think they sound amazing but when I have closed to just ring bongo style the volume drop is really noticeable and can be difficult to mix with other voices.
@Pittsburgh Modular Synthesizers Yeah I have been reluctant to venture away from vactrols for LPG but this instrument really does sound great if not even a little more natural to my ears.
Yeah, there's no volume difference with the different dynamic modes of the Taiga. Add to that the nice variations in tone and character you get when switching between them.

The engineer/designer dynamic on display here is wonderful and I'm here for it
Michael’s tag team attempts during the run through of the dynamics section was incredibly funny. 😂
We are well trained professionals. Unfortunately not very well trained at explaining things together.
@@pittsburghmodular that only makes it charming and wonderful
This is a gorgeous synth. 👏👏👏 thanks for keeping it weird, y’all
The bit at the end made my day. Thanks guys.
Nice!
Some serious Mika Vainio/ Pan Sonic vibes to start things off..

Correct. They are not included in Taiga or West Pest.

They use a vactrol based design. A very different circuit.

Question - you mention that the wavefolder is a six-stage wavefolder... how many stages does your bog standard wavefolder usually have?
Moog Mavis has 2 stages. Most seem to have 2-4.
