Thanks. Finally a dose of reality. This is not my first cycle. Personally, I didn't get into BTC to liberate all of humanity or sing kumbaya. I got in for the asymmetrical bet of a lifetime. I got in to make a killing. Which has yet to pan out. I'm still a believer, but hope is not a strategy. I have adjusted my expectations. I'm 65. Will it even happen in my lifetime? Not the way things are going. We shall see.
My two cents, if it breaks above 100k this cycle and holds we must consider ourselves very fortunate indeed. The crazy high btc price predictions are just that, crazy IMO!

This is the “combat fatigue” part of the cycle. Last time, I sold and bought a house. I got the low interest rate which I won’t see as a loss, but I’m holding my BTC this time, come hell or high water.

I like Positive James! It’s my first bull run and, similar to checking the flight attendants when there’s turbulence in the air to see how they are reacting, when there’s turbulence in the crypto space this channel helps me not to get taken down by the “Chicken Littles.” Gives me comfort. (I’m a boomer lol) Thank you James for the work you put into every single video, and for your refusal to succumb to the doom and gloom.
The main trouble with "this space" is when real threats are hitting us, we can't hear them in the opitmist hopium echo chamber. Most of these were pretty lame but a few are worth keeping an eye on.
I agree - the most important for me was the impact on network usage as a byproduct of the EFT’s. Removing that amount of traffic out of the network probably does have a dampening effect. The whales (intentionally or not) are likely to maintain BTC as a marginal asset.
I don't really want to see more Bear Content but it's important to understand the other side. I think these are good once in a while and equally necessary. Some people that aren't critical thinkers only want to think positive but IMO the best thinkers are those that look at both sides to help make better decisions.
I really enjoyed hearing the other side of the arguement. I always think it's important to listen to the alternative view however uncomfortably it might be. Forewarned is forearmed.

If you were behind the dump from 74,000 down to 57,000 because of your saying Tesla having a projected 29X versus 9X of bitcoin and you admit to that… that was the worst of your negative points you shared. But to give all those points in a bear case. and then come back and say, but I’m still bullish on BTCeven though you tell us you don’t hold bitcoin only microstrategy again kicked my ass. I’m pretty down. I’m 68 1/2 years old much of the stuff you talk about is over my head. I’m pretty much bitcoin and Ethereum and Solana… trying to get out of my Ethereum to go into Solana. And that’s all because of my confidence in you and that video just shook my confidence in bitcoin and whether I should lessen my exposure. Damn.
So in short you’re investing with out doing your own research. Relax buddy. Each halving the price will naturally gravitate higher. Everybody is responsible for their own $ anyway. I listen to James and implement my own strategies which is what everyone should be doing.
Holding MSTR is a leveraged bet on BTC. You should always take some profits. A simple strategy that works even if you’re bullish is to sell 2% for every 10% gain against your cost basis. This way you take profits rationally while profiting up through a bull run. Then dump those shavings into Berkshire or similar.
Hey James, I've been studying BTC for years now, I am a professional...I've identified the only real major risk to the BTC network, including that of quantum computing...is simply...an EMP or nasty Solar flare
An EMP is not a forever destructive event to BTC. Even a thermonuclear war is not. Once a bit of the network is loaded and running inside a faraday enclosure which protects the data center of a miner, the Bitcoin operating system is not only immortal, it's near impossible to take down as electricity is always restored, it restarts where it stopped. Even if a planetary collapse occurs, any marginally surviving Bitcoin node is enough for BTC to exist. I'm a professional computer scientist and I run the BTC code in my installation, I have studied the code extensively for years now. There is so much genius in the 1.2 million lines of C++ that I wonder if earthlings really wrote it. The BTC transactions logic has its own script code with no loops, impossible to hack. Bottom line, it's unlikely that BTC and its nodes will ever be impacted out if existence in the next 100 years, it's too late right now for a malicious source to harm it since it has reached execution critical mass. BTC architecture, implementation and current tech support create its protection and human avarice provides its best guardianship including the miners. With 46 million American voting adults owning BTC, any politicians trying to harm Digital Gold will have a hard time staying in government in one piece and upright. Similar political support grows daily across the planet.... No, an EMP is nothing against BTC and its future, the worst enemies are the ones who buy but don't HODL in cold storage but even these are not a huge threat as they will buy again at a higher price when it pumps once more. As BTC tech acceptance reaches critical mass in the planet, we will have perfect universal money for the next thousand years. James has a good reason for his optimism.
To remain objective you have to paly devils advocate once and a while. As much as I prefer and enjoy positive news. These are good to have. So thanks James would you consider doing a video including accumulation this cycle vs other cycles?

For quantum proofing, coins need to be moved to quantum proofed wallet, which is a problem for lost coins, that will never move (and so be hacked). At least wallets that have never transacted are harder to hack since their public key is also not directly known (but can still be found with a quantum computer) So i dont know what to do about that info... Also, people that move their coins will create huge congestion on the network (which is good for miners, but bad for other users) also they may decide to sell some while they move their stash. What do you think?

Since the SOL layer 2 series a few months back I have been stacking WHALES MARKET - entirely my own choice no negative feelings - layering in still while its down severely since you guys analysed the case. I figure it is still the same great use case just at a better price so I keep layering in - but I am wondering what your view is now a few months later
Shorter term Reality: - since mid-March we have had lower highs and lower lows - we are now below the 21 and 50 day moving averages - Bitcoin is in a downtrend, and the Sellers have clearly been in control Appreciate you looking at the longer term.
Excellent video. Yes, retail is involved via Proxies, especially re custody & premium collection. Etfs add/subtract Bitcoin depending on customer demand vs "Blackrock" or "Fidelity" "buying". Etf Holdings are a function of customer holdings. Secondly, difficult to count on historic performance, with any certainty, as the fundamental dynamic of decentralization continues to erode via consolidation. All supported by the flattening out of the long term cycle graph trajectory. We must submit to price action instead of historic performance & subjective "hope". Price reality is real. 😊 Finally, from a probability perspective, sounds like there exist untold potential threats to Bitcoin, as with any asset, so the takeaway is position sizing is critical. Don't get over your skis & build way more time horizons into trades than we think we need👍

I’ve been in the market since new years 2021, it’s getting annoying at this point. I’ve stopped looking at the markets because otherwise I’d sell. Bitcoin should 100% be higher than it is right now. So frustrating waiting 3 years for mediocre gains but I won’t give up
James more videos on the bear case would be helpful just to help people keep a perspective on both sides understanding of course that you have to have a long time horizon in order to not let these things bother you.

I’ve been in the market since new years 2021, it’s getting annoying at this point. I’ve stopped looking at the markets because otherwise I’d sell. Bitcoin should 100% be higher than it is right now. So frustrating waiting 3 years for mediocre gains but I won’t give up

It’s always good to double-check your thesis and hear things you do not want to hear.
James more videos on the bear case would be helpful just to help people keep a perspective on both sides understanding of course that you have to have a long time horizon in order to not let these things bother you.
