Beardbrand Alliance - think ya look great with a yeard or 18 month tbh - what bout your transatlantic subscribers dude? Like some guidance on my 6 month beard Eric!! 👍
I think it's good that we take into consideration the opinion of valued friends from time to time. It doesn't mean that you take the advice. But when people tell me that a certain beard length or mustache length looks good I make a mental note of it and maybe record it with a selfie. Personally, Eric, I think you should add another half an inch or 3/4 to your current arrangement.
Eric, been watching your videos for years. Lately you have been coming off with this awesome confidence vibe. Suits you well! Keep up the great work. Would love to see you venture more into self improvement and confidence building videos through beard growth. Keeping with the brand motto
Dude! This video came at the perfect time for me. I've been growing my beard for 8 months and have been trying to decide where I'm going with it. You're absolutely right... I'd be crazy to cut it now. I'm going for the yeard! Thanks man!! 👍
Ya, the power beard is a good looking beard. Unfortunately it requires a little bit more maintenance to keep it looking it's best. Other than that, it's a very strong looking beard.
@@EricBandholz The other downside with having a 'power beard' now is, with covid and the mask-wearing, it makes it impractical., or at the least, self-defeating since all your grooming goes to sh*t when you put on a mask.
I've had a 10mm beard for several years. Every once in a while I consider shaving it off because its always itchy and dry. After recently finding Beardbrand, watching several videos, and learning what I am doing wrong and what I need to do right (have yet to order anything, but I will very soon), I have decided to start letting it grow. I have decided to change up my entire look. I have had a zero fade hair style, mostly a high n tight, hair style since I joined the Marines back in 2001. It looks a bit odd when I let my beard grow out just a little (which is why I always trim it to 10mm after every haircut). So, since I am going to let the beard grow for as long as I can, I will also be letting the hair grow too. Not sure what style or length yet, but I am excited, confused, impatient, and overwhelmed all at the same time. These videos help. Thank you and I look forward to consuming more knowledge from Beardbrand as I move along my journey.
I like eating my mustache when it gets big and bushy. Something about the challenges of eating a burger with mustache hair in every bite really makes the whole beard experience.
I grew out my beard for 5 years in my mid 20's and was surprised that it reached slightly below my belt. I don't remember if I measured it, but I'm guessing it was about 2 feet long. I loved it, but it was quite a hassle to take care of and maintain. I found that for most days it was more manageable to tie it into a long ponytail, wrap it into a bun, and stuff the bun inside the beard, which made the beard look neat and medium length. Eventually I trimmed it down and have been keeping a short beard (2-4 week length) for the past 8-9 years. Over the past few months I had grown it out for about two months and then (due to encouragement from family) I trimmed it back down, and realized how much more I liked the longer look. I've now taken it upon myself to grow it back out for at least 3-4 months and see how far I'll take it. I don't expect to go 5 years again. I'm now married and I don't think there's any chance that my wife would agree to it. I barely got her to agree to me doing it for 3-4 months. My hope is that she gradually gets used to it as it keeps growing in. Though I still doubt that I'd ever go for the 5-year length again. P.S. When growing the beard out I love the look of a long full mustache, but found it to be very inconvenient for everyday life. Plus I don't really like the feeling of the hair going over and into my mouth. So, for the sake of convenience I'd usually keep my mustache fairly short even when my beard was long.
For anyone who discouraged bc their beard doesnt look as full- keep growing. I was amazed at how many tiny new hairs continue to keep springing up as I’m passing the two month mark. Just bc your beard doesnt look full now, doesn’t mean you can’t have that full, dense beard. You just gotta give it some time!
The Power Beard or 4 month Beard is the way to go I think with your beard lenght Eric! Also, Beardstache with the chevron doesn't hurt your style either! 😉
This beard length goes great with your mullet. I'm a fan of going relatively short and neat on the beard if the hair is longer and messy, or vice versa. Keeps the overall look balanced. Gotta disagree with you on keeping patchy beards short though. It was the patches in my own beard that always prevented me from getting past the 1-2 month mark; I'd never be happy with how it looked and shaved it off. During lockdown I just kept growing it out and finally got past the 2 month mark for the first time in my life. And something magical happened: the longer beard hair suddenly had enough weight to lie flat and enough length to cover the patches. It looked ten times better than when I had it at shorter lengths. Sure, some peoples' beards are just too patchy overall to ever really fill in, but if you've just got a few patches, it's definitely worth hitting at least the three month mark.
I am on my way to find it! I think 4-6 months is the best length for my blonde/thin beard (I am 23 old) with very little patches! and of course big mustache with little gabs on it! my beard is better than the past 6 months! thank god its developed!
My perfect beard length is about 1.5 maybe two inches off the chin. Around an inch off the cheeks. And my mustache at terminal length which is about around an inch. And I’ve got a beard kindve like the video that Greg made about not perfect celebrity beards kindve like Shia Laboufe and those dudes where the mustache doesn’t connect and doesn’t grow under my lip on the sides of the soul patch area. Also my beard is super red but my hair is brown lol. I used to be super self insecure about it. But after rocking several different styles for the last 3-4 years I’m finally happy with it and content with how it is and looks. It gives my face some serious character especially since I’ve grown my hair out the last 2 years and it’s sitting right around shoulder length. And I’ve got your guys videos to thank for the confidence to keep growing my hair and beards!
At 5+ inches, my beard was too long. The big beard with my buzz cut and dark hair made me look a bit scary to some. At 1/4 of an inch, my beard was way too short. The short beard is too bland and my jawline needs some definition help from facial hair. I’m looking to be somewhere between 1 and 2 inches. My beard right now is about the same length as Eric’s and I also have some great waves. The other thing I learned is that I love a full mustache. Good video, Eric!
Dude, thanks for sharing your story and it's a perfect example of how you gotta try and experiment with different styles. Thanks for the comment and keep on growing!
I must admit that I didn’t expect a response from you, Eric. I appreciate your taking the time to do so. Thank you for creating such great content and for challenging me to grow in more ways than one!
First time beard grower. Up to 4 weeks now. Probbaly going to take another month to cover the bald patch under my chin! Iso was the perfect time to get through that mega awkward stage.
There is always something that stops you from growing your beard, It can be a person, the society or an institution. So this time finally I have grown my beard fo 5 months especially during the corona; I just keep pushing everyday no matter what anybody says. My beard aint stopping , thats for sure.
Ive hit month 7. Not sure where I'm going or if I should go back to where Ive been. Ive got a nasty fork in the chin I keep fighting. But with this amount of time invested it would be a shame to not see what a yeard looks like. Damn mask requirements hide it anyway so a bad beard day isn't a big deal. Had a barber shape it a month ago and the improvement was huge.
I've got a yeard and 3 months with occasional small trims. My beard also forks in the chin like a french fork. The reason is that theres not enough density in the neck behind it. My neckbeard doesnt go too low so I get a fork. I might just have a couple of inches trimmed to shape it up, still keeping it thick. Also my beard is very curly so it is a bit harder to style.
Yes, the feeling of perfect length 1st comes around your length - perfect. Also, somewhere in the big beard stages, there's a moment like that - solid. You are correct, Sir - the stache is key to either.
I have grown my whole facial hair beard 🧔🏻 and mustache to the extend of length where I am now able to find my right length which is short and tight on the beard and same length on the mustache and it seems to be working for me. Even if I go completely clean shaven I will know how long to let it grow. Thanks again for everything you do and to help build not only my facial hair but more of a man.
I almost reach the four months mark and still comfortable I'll continue, some girls have said that I look better without it but I still have my mojo so, I'm a happy bearded highlander here!
I liked you video on the "POWER BEARD" and honestly, when I trim that's about where I'll take mine to. I just hit two years, but with several trims, and have a trim scheduled for tomorrow. I don't intend on loosing too much length, just to clean the shape, but you never know... lol
@@EricBandholz I originally thought because my hair is gray that it was more like another personality on here... but I have a texture more similar to yours with the crazy waves and curls, I have really learned a lot from all the videos you guys do!

That patchy comment about keeping it short. I feel that could be false as the patches can eventually grow out just by leaving it. I have patchy cheeks and underneath but once it gets to a couple of months they start to fill in and slowly catch up to the rest.
Definitely recommend powering through as long as you can. Because in that first year you definitely hit a bunch of awkward stages; which can be solved with length or better grooming techniques (which take time to learn).

Experiment to see what you feels looks the best as far as length style ect. We here are always looking for self improvement and to knew be completely satisfied so we do not become content and always improve our beard, clothes, how we are as dads husbands people. No perfect equals continuous improvement. So keep on growing my friends
Dude I think that beard length looks amazing, I'm still trying to find my own. Sincerely you inspired me to grow a beard, before watching your videos (like 2 years ago) I always kept my beard at stubble length and now I'm taking care of myself considerably more. I want to try your beard length but I can't grow that mustache hahaha. Always dreaming of having trying beardbrand product here in Chile, but finally my brother in law is in USA and he's bringing me a 3 pack of tree ranger beard oil to finally try it!! Thanks Eric!
2 Words...Power Beard is the Perfect Beard for you Eric. You are right, mustaches make the beard. I think most people subconsciously, when they think a beard is nice, it turns out to be the thick mustache that makes it nice. You, Carlos, and Greg all have nice beards because you have big mustaches which IMO is like, 80% what makes a beard, lol. (Disclaimer: I get it. It's really comes down to preference, but I like what I like)
Rightly said Eric. You gotta let your beard grow in order to find your perfect length. And that's exactly what I'm doing these days. I've been wearing a beard since last 8years but never tried a yeard. This is for the first time I'm doing it and I'm at 6months of growth right now. And I kinda like it already. I think I'll come back to my 6month length after completing my yeard. But you never know, I might stay there 😀 #beardon #keepongrowing 🤘
@@EricBandholz That's true. Just having some trouble with this "mask" situation. I guess all Beardman are dealing with this problem. But this period will soon pass hopefully. By the way, thanks for replying Eric 😊
Your beard length is the same as mine, if you are working or playing outdoors for example then your beard length is perfect, too long it becomes a potential hazard and needs maintenance to look good and that is why I keep mine the length you have here, shorter and it doesn't protect as well against the cold wind (here in Scotland) but it all depends on what works for you in your life, I may however grow mine a little longer one day? good luck.
I often think of growing a YEARD BEARD...but failed😔 when I was on my awesome 4 months of growing...messed up with my 'stache and trimmed the whole beard...wz really sad
Hello good Sir, Great to see another informative video. I am into my 4th week of beard growth and will be scheduling a visit to your barber shop soon to get my beard inline. 👍👍👍👍👍👊👊👊👊👊
I just noticed from the thumbnail that the patchy areas on your chin right under your mouth have grown in nicely. Did you notice that too? Do you have any advice on hard to grow areas.
I agree. How are you going to know what the right or favorite length is until you let it grow out at least to the point where it starts to look frizzy at the ends? That might happen after a year in length or before.
I’m 17 but beard only goes terminal after 2 months for my age at the moment cause It’s gonna change when I get older but right now my only thick parts I have is my Mustache and side burns my cheeks, neck and chin are so patchy
Oh boy. I like many of youre styles eric ^_^ I mean reaaaaallly many of them. I think one of my most favorites from them is a short beard with a bigger mustaches and the hair with a side part. I think you got that haircut and beard trim from Chachi and yeah. I think that is one of youre best styles in my opinion but like i said i like really many of youre styles :D Keep on doing the great work and i hope everything is going well on the other side of the internet ^_^
Dude, Chachi is such an amazing barber. I always come out of there thinking, man I don't know if I can pull off this look because it's a little out of my comfort zone; and then end up loving the look.
Eric, Hey Brother!!! I really like the current beard length and mullet you have. However, I know that you will be transition soon. Because transition is growing and as You Always say, “Keep On Growing.” Blessings to You and Yours 🤓🙏❤️
Shot ive been growing for 8 months now and 1 side grows awesome and the other side looks like it has peak out.. The right side patchy and grows unevenly.. I guess short and stubble is my perfect beard or stubble. 😆
I'd love to, but Mexican customs would pull all the packages and send it back to us or "lose" them. When we get big enough to have a distribution source there, we'll get in there.
Dang that mustache hair in a coke can comment...I feel that one man! As a barber balance in a beard is a big thing to me. If you can grow that stache do it
Just let it grow until the top hairs reach your lip than trim at the lip to have the full potential thickness, you won't have a mustache like Eric but it will have a nice coverage, trust me. After a couple weeks of doing this your stache will appear even thicker because of the late growing hairs and the smaller lighters hairs filling it up. Keep on growing brother!:)
It's not an issue, it's just the way your mustache grows. Find styles that work with it; rather than thinking your mustache is the problem. Also, the other commenters provided some great advice. Keep on growing!

You look good with anything you've done, but my favourite has to be the beardstache, it suits you best mate.
I think the perfect beard is quit simply there is no perfect beard for anyone person. I think it’s about growin tour beard out n then as you change your hair you may want to change your beard. Experiment to see what you feels looks the best as far as length style ect. We here are always looking for self improvement and to knew be completely satisfied so we do not become content and always improve our beard, clothes, how we are as dads husbands people. No perfect equals continuous improvement. So keep on growing my friends
What is the wrong beard length anyway? It's up to interpretation!
It's really comes down to preference, but I like what I like)
I think the Beard Stache look on you is amazing. I'm currently 3 months into my first Yeard.
You'll enjoy my next video then. :)
Your shirt looks like Super Saiyan hair
Great video as always 👌
Rightly said Eric. You gotta let your beard grow in order to find your perfect length. And that's exactly what I'm doing these days. I've been wearing a beard since last 8years but never tried a yeard. This is for the first time I'm doing it and I'm at 6months of growth right now. And I kinda like it already. I think I'll come back to my 6month length after completing my yeard. But you never know, I might stay there 😀 #beardon #keepongrowing 🤘
That 6 month beard is a power beard. Comes in strong, full, without being the primary focus of your physical features. Keep on growing!
@@EricBandholz That's true. Just having some trouble with this "mask" situation. I guess all Beardman are dealing with this problem. But this period will soon pass hopefully. By the way, thanks for replying Eric 😊
@Josef Ghorbani Thank you mate 😊
Eric the long beard absolutely suited you and it was way better than the short beard that you have now lets not make any assumptions🤠
Yea I know
I did
I just cut off 7 inches and haven’t felt this good in a long time
Great video Eric. There is a sweet spot for everyones beard for sure. Right now, mine is just too long but i'm trying to determine terminal length.
Your beard length is the same as mine, if you are working or playing outdoors for example then your beard length is perfect, too long it becomes a potential hazard and needs maintenance to look good and that is why I keep mine the length you have here, shorter and it doesn't protect as well against the cold wind (here in Scotland) but it all depends on what works for you in your life, I may however grow mine a little longer one day? good luck.
Your beard looks so cool brother. Love the advices, respect.
I have a patchy beard but its just full enough to grow it out like its still a little thin but its there
I often think of growing a YEARD BEARD...but failed😔 when I was on my awesome 4 months of growing...messed up with my 'stache and trimmed the whole beard...wz really sad
Hello good Sir, Great to see another informative video. I am into my 4th week of beard growth and will be scheduling a visit to your barber shop soon to get my beard inline. 👍👍👍👍👍👊👊👊👊👊
Hell ya man! Who are you going to see? Bob, Chris, or Justine?
Dude love the mullet, has that beavis and butt head vibe (with all due respect)
I just noticed from the thumbnail that the patchy areas on your chin right under your mouth have grown in nicely. Did you notice that too? Do you have any advice on hard to grow areas.
If you close your eyes You hear John C. Reilly from step brothers talking...just lol
Continuing to enjoy your content, my beard is weird, but it's mine 😄, but mine takes forever. Any ideas @Eric Bandholz.
Your perfect length ,Eric, is all out bro get er growin!
Skin fade mullet >>>>
Looking good!!!!
This lenght or beardstache 🔥
You'll like my next video then. I've changed up my look once again.
Beardstache!
You sound like your voice is being muffled by that thick royal beard and i love it😂
Hit the yeard and I'm debating on trimming the stache back...
I’m right there too...hard call to make!
You can pull off any type of beard eric
Good video man I like that great advice here
Glad you enjoyed the video. Keep on growing!
Oh boy. I like many of youre styles eric ^_^ I mean reaaaaallly many of them. I think one of my most favorites from them is a short beard with a bigger mustaches and the hair with a side part. I think you got that haircut and beard trim from Chachi and yeah. I think that is one of youre best styles in my opinion but like i said i like really many of youre styles :D
Keep on doing the great work and i hope everything is going well on the other side of the internet ^_^
Dude, Chachi is such an amazing barber. I always come out of there thinking, man I don't know if I can pull off this look because it's a little out of my comfort zone; and then end up loving the look.
@@EricBandholz Thats really cool ^_^ And yeah I think Chachi doing some amazing haircuts and beard trims with you over the last few years :D
What is this length? for a reference point
as a guy with a mullet i like things a little "on edge" HA good one
Any style suit you man ❤️
The best beard for anybody is Don’t care what anybody else thinks. And this particular style is actually really hard to achieve
Ship to México Erick... ship to Mexico!
I'd love to, but Mexican customs would pull all the packages and send it back to us or "lose" them. When we get big enough to have a distribution source there, we'll get in there.
I'm 3 month's into a yeard...
I will just be glad when it's past the homeless stage
Lol
I second when guys wouldn't give a try. ☝🏻They may never know that they would look fantastic!
Why is Baldur making videos on beard brand?
I can totally see this guy pounding a bunch of PBR’s and talking about beards lol
"The time to grow a two year beard is two years. The time to grow a month beard is a month." ... the time to grow a second wave COVID beard? Unknown
Dang that mustache hair in a coke can comment...I feel that one man! As a barber balance in a beard is a big thing to me. If you can grow that stache do it
Perfect beard for me is not having to spend more then 10-15min before work before the mirror
I have moustache issues. I have a perfect beard for my age. But my moustache isn't thick.
Same
Let it grow brother, it takes time..
I have a long chin beard, no mustache.
When in doubt, grow it out
I miss my beard soooo much 😭😭😭
U look like Chris Evans clean shaven
dont tell me what to do eric
6-8 month for Eric...4-6 month for me
It's a little more maintenance but I agree that 6 month beard does look good on me. Sounds like you are in a similar range for your style.
I think I need to match my beard to my mustache - it's wiry, patchy and 12 month terminal.
If u guys close ur eyes I can hear kurmet the frog 🐸
It's only beard length Michael.
