Both are good, it's quite rare for me to like EN more than JP but Fontaine is the only region so far where I can confidently say the ENG dub was better or at least had a better take with its characters. I genuinely wonder why this is the case though, if it has to do with them learning/improving overtime or is it because of Fontaine's drama and opera themes, especially with Furina's ENG VA being the best out of all language. JP dub isn't improving nor was it getting worse, they seem to have nearly perfected their craft already, which makes sense since they have an anime approach to this game.

I initially thought the EN was obviously better but gave her JP version a try for 2 days and it quickly grew on me. They are equally good depending on which angle you wanna view her personality. JP dub excels at showing the softer or interior side of the character and ENG dub is more upfront. There's a lot of strong or bold personalities in Fontaine, which I think why ENG dub finally took a 'W' in this region over JP, I'd argue that ENG was better than all the other languages as well.
