- Hey guys, and welcome back to another installment of my osrs facts videos. I really have fun looking for interesting easter eggs, facts or tips hidden in oldschool runescape. These were not discovered by me, but as a community many have been found.

OSRS has been around for a long time now, so lots of small easter eggs and secrets have been hidden in the game. Some new ones are still being discovered. On top of that I am also including some other useful or lesser known tips

By far my favorite little "easter egg" in osrs is if you use the pet rock from relleka on your pet house in your poh, it will appear on the floor in a different spot every time you leave and enter your house, as if its been roaming around your house while you're gone.
make it fight another pet its hilarious
my favorite is the badger badger badger easter egg on the little island (DLR) by Zul-Andra

Everyone is on about the octopus but I'm sitting here loving the tip about the topiary bushes in my PoH. Absolutely had no clue it was a thing. My PoH is way cooler now lol

The only one I did know was that the karambwam was obviously an octopus.

Did no one read during the tai bwo wannai trio quest? They clearly state that karambwan is a type of octopus. And when you examine them raw it says it's 'a raw green octopus'
Nope. They just watch/read quick guides and *space* dialogue and check what number to press.

Honestly i'd be more upset that people don't do the quests properly and just use guides, if it wasn't for how buggy and shitty a lot of OSRS quests are.

Its examine text literally says "Cooked octopus. It looks very nutritious."

Whenever i learned about combo eating, i always thought that the character just ties the karambwan around the main food using its tentacles.
Explains the double eat in my mind somehow.

For anyone wondering the formulas are “floored” meaning that even if it’s resulting value is 2.99 it will be evaluated as 2.

The octopus at the end reminded me of pokemon when Ash, his friends, and team rocket had to take a test and one of the questions was who's that pokemon. It was just a black circle. So they said voltrob etc. The answer was jigglypuff from a top down view.

Interesting on #2, considering it is actually possible to light fires underwater. All you need is heat, fuel, and oxygen, which an underwater environment can all have. Granted, traditional fuels like wood and paper don't really work, since the level of oxygen underwater available for combustion is relatively low. You'd need to use something like magnesium or thermite, but it's the principle of the thing.
I recently started a HCIM and naturally did 99fm wt to start, so when i did Fremmy Trials, I was surprised to see my custom 99fm song! So amusingly i just stumbled on that one too
Lool i remember when i got 99 wc on f2p back in 09s, then I had my first membership. When I was on that part of the fremmenik trials, I laughed so hard at the 99 wc flex. So iconic!
Me too I discovered this Easter egg on accident because I had my 99 FM cape on

I believe one of the npcs in the Tai Bwo quest tell you it's an octopus.
It makes sense that it is an octopus, considering what you catch it in. Never seen anyone catch a sea urchin in a jar like thing. But I like the idea that you're just eating a spiky fish with no regards.
I mean, how would a sea urchin "deftly snatch" anything.

Its pretty funny that I was just throwing my Mudskipper Hats and my extra flippers in my PoH and was moving my crab claw around right as you mentioned it.

Oh, and on Character creation, for that matter.
If you have easter egg ring and someone is following you and you morph into the egg, they will automatically go to the west side of ur Character. They wont be able to follow u from other sides. If a wall is on ur west, they will follow u being in the same square. If you morph into egg and morph back without moving ur spot,the same effect happens
How did you think that was a sea urchin? You have to crack open a sea urchin to eat it.

Has anyone else realize when the Tramp says "Please yourself" is is outright telling the player to off themselves? I always found that hilarious.
Surprisingly a knew about the crab claw and pirate hook workaround and that was the only one lol. Pirate hook is like 5 mil so I see why it wasnt in the clip :)
I was surprised by the underwater fire, and the book, however i knew the karambwan was an octopus, because what you use to catch it, is an octopus trap

Its funny you mentioned the Fremenik trials easter egg because i was doing that on my ironman today with my firemaking cape on and i noticed it and thought i was pretty funny.
I just noticed that the black hole image you have as your pfp kinda looks like the eye of sauron when it's downsized

@Literally Anything i don't see the logic, sea urchin has like 120 pikes and you don't cook them (?) they literally just stay on the bottom and feed off plankton, i learned that in kindergarten. might be the general lack of knowledge about them imo.

I wonder if that book on the dwarves has any unique dialogue in the new dungeon on f2p, that was supposed to be an ancient city or the imcando (spelling?). You might try using it on the new dwarf in there

I did the Fremmy Trials after getting 99 firemaking and it caught me off guard seeing that line. I believe it changes for other achievements, as well, such as Dragon Slayer 2.
now that would be quite interesting seeing as how fremennik trials has to be completed to even start dragon slayer 2

It actually is possible to have fires underwater in real life. That said it doesn't involve the barbarian technique.

6:40 i did because i hate quests and it was the first time i did that quest so i had no idea it was an Easter until my guild said something but they already knew about it.

How is your graphics so smooth, and not as "janky" as my osrs experience? Am i missing an option somewhere?
probably one of the third party clients. you get a ton more options, but at the same time there are other considerations about using third party software (that has probably been covered well by RS channels already).
