    Hy, thanks for the video. I do follow the same process. But what i find challenging is compare and contrast literature. Should i give codes to literatures thematically and compare/contrast?

    Thank you for making this video. I was wondering if you write note right away after reading? Or you allocate other time after reading time?

    • @AcademicEnglishNow
      @AcademicEnglishNow  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I'd take notes as I'm reading, but typically not extensive ones. I read with a clear intention usually, so I'm looking for a specific piece of information

    How should a book be read especially if it’s written like a story which requires the reader to go through the whole thing??

    • @AcademicEnglishNow
      @AcademicEnglishNow  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm assuming this isn't a novel you're reading for pleasure. So most of the tips from this video apply. Clarify why you're reading. Find the relevant chapters and sections. Ignore words you don't know

    Hi dear sir. I hope you are fine. Sir how can I find gaps in topic "Hindutva idealogy;a threat to Indian Secularism,a case study of Modi Regime "

    • @AcademicEnglishNow
      @AcademicEnglishNow  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You're not supposed to find gaps in a topic. You're supposed to get the topic from the research gap.

    • @israrahmedkakar4314
      @israrahmedkakar4314 ปีที่แล้ว

      The concept of secularism is quite problematic in india..you should first read good literature on it. Then you should look at how in india, with the rise of BJP since 2014, hindutva has become a dominant ideology which is pervading all spheres of life whether its social, political or economic. And how these changes are in conflict with the concept of secularism in india. Rise of a fascist (charismatic) leader with poor to no opposition. How this ideology is dictating what a person should eat, wear, whom to marry etc. I think you should do a comparative study how things ( on the basis of these developments) have changed in these last 8 years under modi government from that of the previous decades under the congress government ( which is called as pseudo secular party). An increase in the attack on Freedom of speech and expression, rise of student politics, slapping any kind of opposition with UAPA, atmosphere of fear and animosity, and the situation of minority community etc. See these new developments in the light of the rise of the hindutva ideology.. I would suggest you to read an article "Indian Secularism and its Critics : Some Reflections" by T Pantham (available online). P.S. you should ask your supervisor if this topic is doable..
