I rarely comment on TH-cam, but i just gotta say something: I watched many first playthroughs of the Witcher 3 and your's is by far the most entertaining! Most people are too focused on the streamchat instead of the actual game. It's so much more enjoyable to watch someone playing with full focus on the game who also dives so deep into the lore and everything, like you do. Can't wait for the rest of the playthrough! 🎉

I think there's definitely different ways of making content with these types of games, some creators and viewers prefer streaming and having chat to interact with, and some don't! I'm so glad you've joined the ranks of the Gwent enjoyers 🤭 On my first playthrough I've slept on it for a good half of the game because it seemed too complicated. But once you take your time to understand the rules it becomes reeealy addicting

Monsters is so miserable to play without Katakan so it's great timing to go monsters after beating Lugos. And hey! They gave you 150 for a little forktail. He got 12 for a full-on leshen!
Tip for gwent: always bleed them at the second round if you are up one round, meaning use as much cards as possible and keep the higher value for third round (usually gold or revive cards).
So the beserkers during the feast were the vildkaarls who hjalmar and geralt fistfight who were spiked, thats why hjalmar says he knows whos responsible as he just wants to go to the place the beserkers live to fight them
I remember how "disappointed" I was with the dragon quest once it came to Geralt that he wasn't going for an actual dragon. Although, his typical sassyness makes up for it... somehow.. On another note: You maybe lost two Gwent rounds in this part, but this put you on the 100th (recorded) Gwent game. Congratulations :)
- Why do they call you "Madman"? - WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH... That's why" - most definitely one of the quotes of all time The game against Lugos, he could've kept your spy on the deck again, it doesn't matter if it was already kept once. Also, Northern Wind bomb is broken, it literally can turn 3/4 of the fights instantly in your favour "Cool, cool, cool, cool, cool, cool... No doubt, no doubt" - is this quote from where I think it is?
lol, the one time Geralt should have lied... Of course he killed a dragon! 😆 Remember when you did the main quest in Velen with Keira? Geralt and Keira had a talk about the poison clouds, and that using igni on them is a very bad idea... I have no idea why pretty much all players use igni anyway, and blow themselves up in the process? 🤔 Aard does the trick, without any risk, or the Golden Oriole potion, just don't use weapons that can ignite the monsters! 😉 The witcher contracts are the most straight forward part of the game, I agree that they are pretty boring by themselves. But they are a very nice contrast to the main quest. I prefer playing them inbetween parts of the main quest. You can find Birnas body a bit to the east of Arinbjorn, just follow the shoreline with a boat.
Having followed your playthrough, I know that if you were to open the Miraculous Guide to Gwent now, it will say that you still have a couple of cards to hunt down in Skellige. I won't spoil where to look for them - but I can say that you've been quite close to all the Skellige people selling cards. And here are two that you HAVE bought cards from: REMINDER: - Barkeep in Arinbjorn. I know this because I know you have the Thaler card. - Barkeep in Urialla Harbor on An Skellig. You bought his cards recently.
I don't know if I missed it, but didn't you want to check out that giant tower/castle on one of the isles? Not the one with the mage from Korvir and the cow, I think it was on the island where you helped Hjalmar? 🤔 Also the druid really seems to be a bad Gwent teacher, seeing how Krach just went all in on the first round 😅
About Gwent - in my opinion it can be really hard in the second DLC, with the new deck offered/required to play, but it also can be easy... But in my experience the tournament there was quite challenging compared to walk in the park rounds from main game
May I suggest a livestream opportunity? There is a lot of question marks on sea in Skellige. You might use that opportunity to make a stream where you explore some of them, because it would give you a lot of time to engage with chat! I'd personally love such a thing, but in the end it all depends on your schedule. Let me know what you think about that idea :)
am i trippin or something is wrong with that gwent stats. like after you won against gremist it was 73/24 then you lost to sjusta and it was 74/25 then you won and it's still 74/25 and then you lost to lugos and it's 73/26.
