have you found anything about Hammer chisel engraving in books? I got Oppi untracht's metalsmithing book it shows push engraving only. in Man at Arms Reforged wonder womans sword it gives a highlighted close up shot of an highly hammer chisel engraved decorated hammer.
As far as I know the principles of push engraving are the same as hammer engraving. Driving the graver with a hammer just allows you to work in harder material.
