Polaroid im1836 was there first, but they were sued by Nikon over "patented" design and never made it to the market. Ironically, it was similar to this camera, but I guess suing Samsung was way out of their league.

I have the 9mm to 27mm lens and I have the detachable flash unit as well. I absolutely love Samsung cameras. Samsung Galaxy Camera Samsung Galaxy Camera 2 Samsung Galaxy NX Samsung NX30 Samsung NX500 Samsung NX1 Dude, I have the Samsung speed flash. It’s literally the only flash unit that will work with high-speed flash syncing with Samsung cameras and it’s awesome. Samsung NX Mini. There is supposedly an external microphone that connects directly through the hot shoe, but I’m not sure if that actually exists or if it was just something that had planned, but I’ve seen it although it might be renderings I can tell you that if you want to get the 17mm lens or the NX mini to full size NX adapter good fucking luck trying to find one and if you do, it’s going to be over $1000 Also have the battery grip for my NX1 as well. I also have a plethora of lenses, including my favorite the 85mm NX lens and the 45mm NX lens and the 50mm to 200mm NX lens to name a few. I love my collection of Samsung cameras and lenses.
Used to have this camera or another version of it which was also a halo phone half camera hybrid with interchangeable lenses. I also remember that it had an android operating system that could somehow run TH-cam as well as the appstore 😂

The term "mirrorless" stems from the fact that these types of camera are essentially D-SLRs without the internal mirror. But I agree, these days every camera is mirrorless, so it's probably not the best name for them. I guess the full terminology would be "Mirrorless interchangeable lens camera", but that's a bit of a mouthful.

Had the camera recently, sold it after a month. The pictures coming out of it were blurry and plain awful. As much as “retro tech” is the trend right now, this camera wasn’t it. Think back to how the picture quality of the first wave of smart phones were. People please don’t waste your cash on this, you will regret it.
If it's anything like the NX1000/2000, the trick is to shoot in RAW. For whatever reason the jpegs have some weird processing applied to them, RAW is actually pretty good.
Had a nx300. Crappiest camera I ever had. Software bugs, only 2 or 3 lenses you could buy and after a year the sensor broke and couldn't be fixed. Sold it and turned to Fujifilm and never looked back.
Samsung was such a cool camera company. But they didn't give the company the time to catch on with people and become big like Sony. I wish they would come back and make full frame cameras with all the modern tech plus some tech that no other company is doing.
An updated version of this would be hit this time, They can use their computational photography experience from smartphones, Half the cost of S24 ultra & better image & footage.
Sony and the others would have been in a very tight place if they continued doing this, I think, probably, I mean Sony still make sensors, but what if Samsung made their own

It may not be the "same" Samsung. Samsung (like LG or Hyundai) is a chebol - an umbrella of companies with the same name (but each of them must earn for itself).

Another, although much better, camera which is also not mentioned often is the Nikon Coolpix A, which sports an APS-C sensor and a great f2.8 prime
it costs much more and plus it is very rare

I think there is no point calling a camera without a viewfinder "mirrorless" 😅 Using that logic every smartphone has a mirrorless camera.
