After watching your videos for 2+years, your ability to construct shelters for your self and your cat, your mechanical skills, and your video game expertise, Safe to say QN - you would survive the zombie apocalypse
My grandfather had a motor like this mounted to his work bench to turn grinding wheels. It looked and sounds just like it. So cool to see it again 60 years later.
I like have your own terminology for some of the parts. You have some great skills at problem solving and diagnostics for electrical. Hope you can do more stuff like this.
I did something similar to an old double shafted motor that came with a table saw that my Dad bought for my Grandfather back in the 1970s. That motor is now powering a 4 inch jointer in my shop.
K Jason, it’s time to do an “About Me” video, nothing too revealing of course. But we need some background info - like are you an Engineer, a uni student, Nerd of all trades etc.? I’ll go first, I am a geek nerd enthusiast myself, I’m a nurse, I live in eastern Canada, my favourite colour is cobalt blue and I have 2 cats. Another good video! 🖖🏽 Go…
Yea sometime in the future Id like to make a video like I think about it sometimes. Once I'm a little more comfortable being on camera Ive only recently been filming myself on camera still getting use to it all Hope you understand - Cheers!
@@QuietNerd Absolutely Jason, of course I understand! Don’t do anything you don’t feel comfortable doing on your channel. We all know the internet is full of Troll’s & mean spirited people & it takes A LOT of moxie do TH-cam especially an in person video - (I know it would unlock some fears & insecurities if it was me). You keep on doing what your doing & I look forward to your next video! 🖖🏽✨
Just by chance came across your camper trailer build, very cool job, only question is how far did the 12 volt battery get you ? As in what was your range of travel? And did you incorporate a solar trickle charger to ur battery, liked how you rebuilt the motor not many can actually do it, great job looking forward to seeing more goodies from you.

Another advise use lubrication on bearing and bushings to extend its life
I know the exterior is drastically different but man that interior was a whole 'nother GALAXY of wonderful. Buzz was a perfect name.

Get yourself an ultrasonic cleaner you will love it.
Wow!!
so cool…
You can repaint that tag. It'll come out good as new. You can use a pin, toothpick, etc. and dig out the letters if needed.
Could've painted the tag then use a piece of tape to lift the paint off of the lettering.
It's great! Keep it up buddy. I really really appreciate it =)
ok, cool, enjoyed meeting buzz.,
Wdym this video only has less than 1k views upon making this comment?? This is like the best restoration video ive seen that has commentary on it
Thank you :D

Have you had any trouble with the parts that were in the vinegar flash rusting afterwards?
Pls put it in the camper thing you made
That motor is so old the ancient Aztecs probably used it!
What metal is the wire on the motor end? looks white, is that aluminium?
do you have a link to those switches and housings?
Nice
You just HAVE to build something with Fingerbots!
