I completely agree. My hair just doesn't respond to Coconut however my skin loves it! Now the Mielle Organics Pom&Honey line works exceptionally well for me however for my mother w/ similar texture hair the line isn't a win for her...just another example of what works for one isn't the same for others. Im 34 and my mother does not respect my sister and I. We could be talking about a news article and end up arguing. She does this I’m grown as if I’m not. It’s sad. You can tell Lori Anne respects Taylor. She even mentioned in a review that parents shouldn’t provoke their kids and vice versa. My husband is the same way, it could be anything and he takes his time, doing things when he wants too or subtly huffs and puffs. He doesn’t understand he is perceived as disrespectful and not easy to get along with. It’s just sad.
I tried so hard to make the Mielle twisting soufflé work for my 4c hair. It made my hair sooo dry and my twist outs looked so dusty that people asked why my hair looked so dry. However, the leave in from the pomegranate line works wonders for me and I love their deep conditioners!
CR Sweet Ginger Rinse didn’t work for me either. It was drying (to me) and I had lots of hair fallout too. And that was a sample pack. Glad I was able to try it first

Shea Moisture has really gone downhill in the past year ever since they tried to revamp a little. The only promising product in my opinion is the manuka honey and yogurt protein power treatment! That stuff rocks

Omg...LoriAnn, I wrote you before... how much of my hair had fallen out/ I had practically had a nervous breakdown w a line I used before: Ouidad Waterworks, then the moisture heat leave in, and I put on the Red label Climate Control and then my head turned bright pink and HOT and my hair fell out! I was just a mess. I'm not using anything w protein now and trying one thing at a time and even though I used this line before.... something wasn't right! All I can say is that you guys are SOOOO wonderful to watch. It makes me smile to watch you. The day in which my head is NOT itchy will be the best of my life! I'm still on the journey, y'all!!!!
Great video. And " it smells good". LOL!!!! I agree about the Washday Wonder. I didn't see the point. I also agree that the Decadence shampoo and conditioner is enough. I always leave some behind or add a little more of the regular Decadence leave in.

For me, I would say it was the Mielle Pomegranate and Honey Twisting Souffle and The Mane Choice Four Leaf Clover Styling Creme. I was sad that they didn't work for me especially after I saw that others really raved about the Mielle one. I liked the way my hair looked and felt but they both flaked on my hair.
Wait! 1st product mentioned my mouth dropped and I hit pause. The ONLY product from the Pomegranate and Honey line that I have repurchased and is a HG staple is the curling custard. It’s the perfect base layer for the Camille Rose Curl Maker gel. Sometimes I use a Soultanicals leave in under, sometimes I don’t. 7 day wash and go with zero flaking. Now that my pressure has come down I’m hitting play again. 🤣

Great job!! No tea, no shade lol!!! A few of those brands I personally just don't like! If I've had a bad experience in the past I tend to not ever go back!! Ouidad, Shea Moisture, and Curls are a few brands on my list. Whatever products I tried did not work, were absolute fails, and I probably will never go back to them unfortunately.
Love this video! A lot of your disappointments were mine like caviar line did not work as well as aunt Jackie’a left my hair dry and Cantu as well. I also feel that shea moisture cleansers leave my hair dry as well.

LOOOVVVEEE THISE SO RESPECTFUL AND SO MADCURLS💜 So ouidad , soultanicals and miss jessies I never really cared for but the CRN ginger rinse is AWESOME for me and so is curls cashmere and cavair line love the deep treatment. It's supposed to be a reconstructer not a moisture mask and it brought my curls to level 10 when I rinsed it out. I remember the vid you ladies did on the curls and tay seemed to like it and it brought your bangs back if I remember correctly. Maui Moisture is horrible though every single product was drying smh
The CRN latte leave in gave me a disgusting wash n go, I was so sad. Also wetline xtreme gel was a big no for me! I’m actually someone who gets stellar results from the Mielle pom and honey so I’m sad you never really got it to work! Also Tay, have you tried the Tresseme botanique conditioners. I had to stop using hello hydration and Aussie never worked for me so when I found the Tresseme my life was changed 😂 but seriously that conditioner is fabulous. This video was super entertaining. Ladies I love the concept for this video and the choice of make-up. I’m sad that Mielle pomegranate and honey was on this list. My hair loves the leave-in and twisting soufflé, I haven’t tried anything else in this line as of yet. When I started my hair journey I chose products that was all wrong for my hair. Curly Proverbs helped me to figure out what ingredients my hair liked. I think when you know your hair likes certain ingredients then your hair may do well with those products. I have low porosity fine strands and my hair loves honey, glycerin, aloe Vera and silk aminos acids to name a few knowing this has helped me to save some hair on my head. All hair products are not designed for everybody.
I started out my transition with Garnier Fructis Triple nutrition conditioner and it has definitely changed now but it could also be that I'm not transitioning anymore....but also the cream of nature Argan oil shampoo...I used to be able to detangle with that shampoo and I can't anymore...it's not the same. I've used it since the beginning. I have not ventured back to the hello hydration was considering it but now not so much lol. I'm glad y'all did this video. Not many people want to give any kinds of heads up about products but y'all do even in your regular videos. I love it. And God bless y'all!! Merry Christmas!!
Hair looks amazing by the way! Both of you ladies. I agree with the Cantu deep conditioner it sat on my hair as well! And I’m not too fond of the smell as well...I did try their ACV root rinse and that’s the only thing that I like tbh.
Wow, I love the CRN Sweet Ginger shampoo, but I do not use it with the Moroccan Pear Conditioning Custard, I follow the shampoo with the Algae Renew Deep Conditioner. I so agree with you about the Ouidad Restore + Revive Bi-Phase Oil. All it did for me was frizz out my hair. I stopped using the Moisture Lock, not doing anything for my hair. I have the Waterworks Clarifying shampoo and have not used it yet.....I'm scared!!!! I used to use Carol's Daughter early in my transition, especially the Monoi oil line, not using any of them today. As much as I love the Mielle Pomegrante and Honey line, I think I am retiring it, I never get consisent wash and go's. Great video. I hope you guys had a great Christmas.

Agreed about the two Curlsmith products and I felt like they didn’t work for me. Tried the SheaMoisture Coconut Hibiscus Curl & Style Milk and used as a refresher and didn’t like how my hair looked. Ouidad Vital curl gel wasn’t good for me either and I’m returning it. Have you tried Innersense products? Or Boucleme? Merry Christmas 🎄
Curlsmith was a miss for me. Their oil in cream was too heavy and it made my hair greasy no matter how I used it. I just use it to scrunch the gel out until I finish it. Thanks for the video.

The brand that did not make the cut for me, would be the Camille Rose Lavender Quench Deep Conditioner. I was excited to try this stuff for first time, because it looked soo moisturizing. It stated MOISTURIZING HAIR MASK. When I put this stuff on my hair it was soo dry, brittle and hard. I was disappointed. I love Camille Roses' Moisture Milk, and the Ginger Cleanse and the Moroccan Pear Conditioner.
Great video. Very tastefully done. Thank you for Saving my coin for Ouidad. I avoid silicone, parabens, and sulfates so it was hard to find anything in their line. It's funny how some may love a product and some hate it. Thanks for sharing. I take your opinions very seriously. I can't use Carols Daughter but I love the Sacred Tiare scent.
I keep trying and re trying the mixed chicks leave in and it does NOTHING for my hair i get no moisture and it sucks becuse so many people RAVEE about it and i tried to make it work so many times and still get the same disappointing results..’☹️

Thank you for sharing the good and the bad. For me the Maui Moisture deep conditioners were so bad for me. Deep conditioners should never tangle your hair. I was so excited about them but they just didn’t work. I just started transitioning this year and everyone raves about the Curl Enhancing Smoothie from shea moisture... well unfortunately it did nada for me. It was too heavy and not all that moisturizing. The only other item that was an absolute no is the OGX coconut curls conditioner. Flat out tangled my hair.
Same here with the Shea Moisture Defining Custard. It is so deceiving because it looks like it would be moisturizing, because it’s so thick. I only like the deep conditioner.
Loriann you’re right about that Camille rose ginger rinse. My hair felt stripped. Then I prepoo before using it and it was ok. But I don’t always prepoo it’s annoying to me.
Alot of the stuff you mentioned I've never tried but watched your review on (lol) but once Taylor got started on the Cantu Masque.... I agree! I love Cantu and just about everything I've tried (except the Define & Shine Custard) and this left my hair dry. It's unfortunate because I needed a masque after flat ironing my hair, and it did nothing for me. I wanted to love it, people rave about it all the time. It worked ok as a heavy butter, which I used to finger coil my hair until I finished it.
The manuka gel is definitely one of my favorites for a special occasion. it can be drying / flake you just HAVE to use a small amount and make sure your hair is superrr wet lol ...I definitely can't go past day 2 with it but for a special occasion It's so good lol & i agree about the wash day wonder being a fail, I have regular conditioners that do a much better job at detangling
Everything you mentioned I have to agree with accept the Pomegranate & Honey line because Im 2C 3a hair so I didn’t bother to get it because I knew it would be to heavy for me.. As far as Ricky’s I’m from nyc and never bothered to go lol because I’ve always heard they have old products in the store I stick to my Sally’s and target and even tj maxx sometimes.. but great video ladies.. The only product from Shea Moisture that I liked was the Manuka Deep Conditioner. None of the Carol's Daughter products have worked and they are too perfumey to me. I thought my hair was going to fall out with the Pracaxi one. It was horrible. Cantu Leave-in and Stylers are a no go. They make my hair extremely dry. I do like the ACV Cleanser one (not sure exact name). Ouidad is always switching up their products. Never leave well enough alone. They had a Co-Wash that was the name an it worked great. They got rid of it and now all the other ones' have so much protein I can't use. Deva Curl products all have hops and protein so that's a no go for me as well. I just found an old Curl Box that was NEVER opened and it is full of full size Deva Curl products. Going to give it to a family member. I tried the Herbal Essences Hello Hydration either earlier in the year of 2018 or at the end of 2017. I think they changed the product. Because it didn't have slip and made my hair dry. Back in the day I would condition with it and use it as a leave-in. I enjoyed this video. I prefer when people share there feelings about products. The good and bad. I stop watching those that only give good reviews. I feel that they are being dishonest. Because I know I personally haven't had good experiences with every product I ever purchased. Whether it's hair, makeup, food, clothes, etc. But, I guess they could be extremely lucky (yea right!)!!
I love the idea of using an entire line that you all have stressed in this video. This new year, I will give this a try with affordable off the shelf products.
My current obsessions is the KC by keracare line and Mielle Organics honey and pomegranate line. I didn’t really care for the not your mothers curl talk line.
I live in Brooklyn and Rickys was always a wonderland for me. There was a rickys by my college and i would always go in there after school until i realized they jacked their prices up and stuff really does sit on the shelf for MONTHSSS. In New York the best place to look for your products is in a huge beauty supply or Ulta. ➰➰
The Cantu Deep Treatment Masque has protein in it doesn't it? That would account for the dryness. I usually mix it with Shea Moisture raw shea butter deep conditioner or Aussie 3 minute deep conditioner. And no dryness occurs.
Don't feel bad Tay I hated Mielles curling custard too. Also my green camile rose protein treatment doesn't smell anything like that so I think you have a bad one. And LoriAnne I love the camile rose pear conditioner and the shampoo. I'm like TaylorAnne I detangle with a cowash before shampooing so slip isn't something I look for. Moisture is, and those two have so much moisture. So I guess liking or hating a product comes down to what your hair needs/wants are.
for me it was the mielle rosemary mint stying creme! i decided to sell both of mine that i got from black friday! the aussie miracle curls leave in. I too feel like the ginger rinse is drying to an extent. the pear custard has slip i you add a certain amount. once those two finish i won't repurchase those two.
I completely agree with the pomegranate and honey line by mielle I tried and returned everything I tried from that line. I didn't and won't be trying the curl smoothie either
also when you said dreds. fromprotein overload yes, that happened to me recently. And i lost some hair. im going to blow it out and then do a trim. lesson learned. thanks for the confirmation.
Love the black/funeral theme lol I can't remember if it was the beginning of this year or the end of last year, but I tried the As I Am Coconut Cowash. To me it wasn't worth the hype. The Mixed Chicks deep conditioner didn't wow me either, but I love the leave in. The worst for me is from Shea Moisture, the Coconut & Hibiscus Curl and Style Mist. I tried it three different times. It frizzes my hair so bad. And another disappointment for me is Trader Joe's Tea Tree Tingle Shampoo. I love the conditioner, but the shampoo stripped my hair. The bit that's left I use to clean my makeup brushes lol
You look absolutely fabulous! Highlights glistening, curls popping! Black is always chic, and I love that Lori Anne's peek-a-boo tee matches the lippie; Taylor Anne's black lippie is 👊🏾🔥🔥🔥. My most disappointing products are everything I bought from Camile Rose: Coco Nibs & Honey oil (didn't see any growth; my own oil blend is better), Curl Aide Moisture Butter (it's just thick, not moisturizing), and Moroccan Pear conditioner (not moisturizing or anything. It does nothing for me). #RIP to all the dead duds that didn't do. 🤣🤣🤣
Aah That ginger cleanse geez,I started using it while I was transitioning and I didn't like it at all ,it tangled my hair tremendously.I used it again when my transition was over,it wasn't as bad but it wasn't great either.I'm curious about thr devacurl decadece leave in,yet I'm afraid to try it and not like it lol.
I tried the Oyin burnt sugar pomade last week to do a sleek half up/half down style and to tame a few fly aways/frizz. It was horrible. Everyone always rave about how good it smells, and I thought it would smell amazing, it being called "burnt sugar". It smelled horrible - more like old wet newspaper to me. It also left my hair feeling very sticky and greasy. The only positive was that it did give me some shine which I did like. But, I will not be using it again. Also in the Camille Rose line, I was really disappointed in their coconut water line. I bought the style setter and the deep conditioner and they were both underwhelming. The style setter had a hard time absorbing into my hair and wasn't very hydrating. The deep conditioner was ok, but not as good as I would expect from Camille Rose. I also wasn't impressed with the Moroccan Pear custard. It didn't smell good to me (smelled like lemons) and wasn't very hydrating.
I LOVE the CR ginger rinse shampoo. It's the only shampoo that soothes my itchy scalp, retains moisture, and moderately detangles at the same time. Did NOT like the morrocan pear conditioner. I didn't get any slip from it either even after wearing a heat cap. Yall should try the new CR Around the World lines. I washed out a silk press last week and my curls LOVED the cholesterol treatment. They even looked better than before I got it pressed!

The line that was disappointing for me was pink lemonade from my beloved Mane Choice. I love Mane Choice, so I agree that you can love a company and not like every product or line. The pink lemonade seem to dry my hair out. Not sure if it’s the coconut oil or something else in it.

Are there any products that you use for a different purpose than what it was made for??. For example, I use the kinky curly knot today as a refresher... it doesnt work for me as a leave in, I dont use it as a detangler but as a refresher... bomb!!!

I was sad that they didn't work for me especially after I saw that others really raved about the Mielle one. I liked the way my hair looked and felt but they both flaked on my hair.
Wait! 1st product mentioned my mouth dropped and I hit pause. The ONLY product from the Pomegranate and Honey line that I have repurchased and is a HG staple is the curling custard. It’s the perfect base layer for the Camille Rose Curl Maker gel. Sometimes I use a Soultanicals leave in under, sometimes I don’t. 7 day wash and go with zero flaking. Now that my pressure has come down I’m hitting play again. 🤣
You both look ready for the New Year, very glamorous. You have to take the good with the bad. Some things you like some things you don’t. Some things work and some don’t 😍
Great job!! No tea, no shade lol!!! A few of those brands I personally just don't like! If I've had a bad experience in the past I tend to not ever go back!! Ouidad, Shea Moisture, and Curls are a few brands on my list. Whatever products I tried did not work, were absolute fails, and I probably will never go back to them unfortunately.
Love this video! A lot of your disappointments were mine like caviar line did not work as well as aunt Jackie’a left my hair dry and Cantu as well. I also feel that shea moisture cleansers leave my hair dry as well.

LOOOVVVEEE THISE SO RESPECTFUL AND SO MADCURLS💜 So ouidad , soultanicals and miss jessies I never really cared for but the CRN ginger rinse is AWESOME for me and so is curls cashmere and cavair line love the deep treatment. It's supposed to be a reconstructer not a moisture mask and it brought my curls to level 10 when I rinsed it out. I remember the vid you ladies did on the curls and tay seemed to like it and it brought your bangs back if I remember correctly. Maui Moisture is horrible though every single product was drying smh
The CRN latte leave in gave me a disgusting wash n go, I was so sad. Also wetline xtreme gel was a big no for me! I’m actually someone who gets stellar results from the Mielle pom and honey so I’m sad you never really got it to work! Also Tay, have you tried the Tresseme botanique conditioners. I had to stop using hello hydration and Aussie never worked for me so when I found the Tresseme my life was changed 😂 but seriously that conditioner is fabulous. This video was super entertaining. Ladies I love the concept for this video and the choice of make-up. I’m sad that Mielle pomegranate and honey was on this list. My hair loves the leave-in and twisting soufflé, I haven’t tried anything else in this line as of yet. When I started my hair journey I chose products that was all wrong for my hair. Curly Proverbs helped me to figure out what ingredients my hair liked. I think when you know your hair likes certain ingredients then your hair may do well with those products. I have low porosity fine strands and my hair loves honey, glycerin, aloe Vera and silk aminos acids to name a few knowing this has helped me to save some hair on my head. All hair products are not designed for everybody.
I started out my transition with Garnier Fructis Triple nutrition conditioner and it has definitely changed now but it could also be that I'm not transitioning anymore....but also the cream of nature Argan oil shampoo...I used to be able to detangle with that shampoo and I can't anymore...it's not the same. I've used it since the beginning. I have not ventured back to the hello hydration was considering it but now not so much lol. I'm glad y'all did this video. Not many people want to give any kinds of heads up about products but y'all do even in your regular videos. I love it. And God bless y'all!! Merry Christmas!!

Hair looks amazing by the way! Both of you ladies. I agree with the Cantu deep conditioner it sat on my hair as well! And I’m not too fond of the smell as well...I did try their ACV root rinse and that’s the only thing that I like tbh.
Wow, I love the CRN Sweet Ginger shampoo, but I do not use it with the Moroccan Pear Conditioning Custard, I follow the shampoo with the Algae Renew Deep Conditioner. I so agree with you about the Ouidad Restore + Revive Bi-Phase Oil. All it did for me was frizz out my hair. I stopped using the Moisture Lock, not doing anything for my hair. I have the Waterworks Clarifying shampoo and have not used it yet.....I'm scared!!!! I used to use Carol's Daughter early in my transition, especially the Monoi oil line, not using any of them today. As much as I love the Mielle Pomegrante and Honey line, I think I am retiring it, I never get consisent wash and go's. Great video. I hope you guys had a great Christmas.

The Shea Moisture Manuka honey line besides the deep conditioner is a fail. It smells so good that you want to make it work it's a no go.

Ouidad Vital curl gel wasn’t good for me either and I’m returning it. Have you tried Innersense products? Or Boucleme? Merry Christmas 🎄
Curlsmith was a miss for me. Their oil in cream was too heavy and it made my hair greasy no matter how I used it. I just use it to scrunch the gel out until I finish it. Thanks for the video.

The brand that did not make the cut for me, would be the Camille Rose Lavender Quench Deep Conditioner. I was excited to try this stuff for first time, because it looked soo moisturizing. It stated MOISTURIZING HAIR MASK. When I put this stuff on my hair it was soo dry, brittle and hard. I was disappointed. I love Camille Roses' Moisture Milk, and the Ginger Cleanse and the Moroccan Pear Conditioner.

Great video. Very tastefully done. Thank you for Saving my coin for Ouidad. I avoid silicone, parabens, and sulfates so it was hard to find anything in their line. It's funny how some may love a product and some hate it. Thanks for sharing. I take your opinions very seriously. I can't use Carols Daughter but I love the Sacred Tiare scent.

Maui Moisture Vanilla Bean Deep Conditioner works awesome in my grand daughters stick straight hair. It's so shiny and smells SO good & they LOVE it!
I keep trying and re trying the mixed chicks leave in and it does NOTHING for my hair i get no moisture and it sucks becuse so many people RAVEE about it and i tried to make it work so many times and still get the same disappointing results..’☹️

Thank you for sharing the good and the bad. For me the Maui Moisture deep conditioners were so bad for me. Deep conditioners should never tangle your hair. I was so excited about them but they just didn’t work. I just started transitioning this year and everyone raves about the Curl Enhancing Smoothie from shea moisture... well unfortunately it did nada for me. It was too heavy and not all that moisturizing. The only other item that was an absolute no is the OGX coconut curls conditioner. Flat out tangled my hair.
Same here with the Shea Moisture Defining Custard. It is so deceiving because it looks like it would be moisturizing, because it’s so thick. I only like the deep conditioner.
Loriann you’re right about that Camille rose ginger rinse. My hair felt stripped. Then I prepoo before using it and it was ok. But I don’t always prepoo it’s annoying to me.
Alot of the stuff you mentioned I've never tried but watched your review on (lol) but once Taylor got started on the Cantu Masque.... I agree! I love Cantu and just about everything I've tried (except the Define & Shine Custard) and this left my hair dry. It's unfortunate because I needed a masque after flat ironing my hair, and it did nothing for me. I wanted to love it, people rave about it all the time. It worked ok as a heavy butter, which I used to finger coil my hair until I finished it.
The manuka gel is definitely one of my favorites for a special occasion. it can be drying / flake you just HAVE to use a small amount and make sure your hair is superrr wet lol ...I definitely can't go past day 2 with it but for a special occasion It's so good lol
& i agree about the wash day wonder being a fail, I have regular conditioners that do a much better job at detangling

Everything you mentioned I have to agree with accept the Pomegranate & Honey line because Im 2C 3a hair so I didn’t bother to get it because I knew it would be to heavy for me.. As far as Ricky’s I’m from nyc and never bothered to go lol because I’ve always heard they have old products in the store I stick to my Sally’s and target and even tj maxx sometimes.. but great video ladies.. I agree with you, I hated the honey pomegranate, the leave in is the only thing that barely decent.
The only product from Shea Moisture that I liked was the Manuka Deep Conditioner. None of the Carol's Daughter products have worked and they are too perfumey to me. I thought my hair was going to fall out with the Pracaxi one. It was horrible. Cantu Leave-in and Stylers are a no go. They make my hair extremely dry. I do like the ACV Cleanser one (not sure exact name). Ouidad is always switching up their products. Never leave well enough alone. They had a Co-Wash that was the name an it worked great. They got rid of it and now all the other ones' have so much protein I can't use. Deva Curl products all have hops and protein so that's a no go for me as well. I just found an old Curl Box that was NEVER opened and it is full of full size Deva Curl products. Going to give it to a family member. I tried the Herbal Essences Hello Hydration either earlier in the year of 2018 or at the end of 2017. I think they changed the product. Because it didn't have slip and made my hair dry. Back in the day I would condition with it and use it as a leave-in. I enjoyed this video. I prefer when people share there feelings about products. The good and bad. I stop watching those that only give good reviews. I feel that they are being dishonest. Because I know I personally haven't had good experiences with every product I ever purchased. Whether it's hair, makeup, food, clothes, etc. But, I guess they could be extremely lucky (yea right!)!!
I found out last year that the Camille Rose Sweet Ginger Cleansing Rinse was not a fit for my hair.
I love the idea of using an entire line that you all have stressed in this video. This new year, I will give this a try with affordable off the shelf products.
My current obsessions is the KC by keracare line and Mielle Organics honey and pomegranate line. I didn’t really care for the not your mothers curl talk line.
I live in Brooklyn and Rickys was always a wonderland for me. There was a rickys by my college and i would always go in there after school until i realized they jacked their prices up and stuff really does sit on the shelf for MONTHSSS. In New York the best place to look for your products is in a huge beauty supply or Ulta. ➰➰

Also, maybe you could repurpose that Maui Moisture butter as a body butter.
The Cantu Deep Treatment Masque has protein in it doesn't it? That would account for the dryness. I usually mix it with Shea Moisture raw shea butter deep conditioner or Aussie 3 minute deep conditioner. And no dryness occurs.
Don't feel bad Tay I hated Mielles curling custard too. Also my green camile rose protein treatment doesn't smell anything like that so I think you have a bad one. And LoriAnne I love the camile rose pear conditioner and the shampoo. I'm like TaylorAnne I detangle with a cowash before shampooing so slip isn't something I look for. Moisture is, and those two have so much moisture. So I guess liking or hating a product comes down to what your hair needs/wants are.
for me it was the mielle rosemary mint stying creme! i decided to sell both of mine that i got from black friday! the aussie miracle curls leave in. I too feel like the ginger rinse is drying to an extent. the pear custard has slip i you add a certain amount. once those two finish i won't repurchase those two.
I completely agree with the pomegranate and honey line by mielle I tried and returned everything I tried from that line. I didn't and won't be trying the curl smoothie either
also when you said dreds. fromprotein overload yes, that happened to me recently. And i lost some hair. im going to blow it out and then do a trim. lesson learned. thanks for the confirmation.
Love the black/funeral theme lol I can't remember if it was the beginning of this year or the end of last year, but I tried the As I Am Coconut Cowash. To me it wasn't worth the hype. The Mixed Chicks deep conditioner didn't wow me either, but I love the leave in. The worst for me is from Shea Moisture, the Coconut & Hibiscus Curl and Style Mist. I tried it three different times. It frizzes my hair so bad. And another disappointment for me is Trader Joe's Tea Tree Tingle Shampoo. I love the conditioner, but the shampoo stripped my hair. The bit that's left I use to clean my makeup brushes lol

My most disappointing products are everything I bought from Camile Rose: Coco Nibs & Honey oil (didn't see any growth; my own oil blend is better), Curl Aide Moisture Butter (it's just thick, not moisturizing), and Moroccan Pear conditioner (not moisturizing or anything. It does nothing for me). #RIP to all the dead duds that didn't do. 🤣🤣🤣
Aah That ginger cleanse geez,I started using it while I was transitioning and I didn't like it at all ,it tangled my hair tremendously.I used it again when my transition was over,it wasn't as bad but it wasn't great either.I'm curious about thr devacurl decadece leave in,yet I'm afraid to try it and not like it lol.
I tried the Oyin burnt sugar pomade last week to do a sleek half up/half down style and to tame a few fly aways/frizz. It was horrible. Everyone always rave about how good it smells, and I thought it would smell amazing, it being called "burnt sugar". It smelled horrible - more like old wet newspaper to me. It also left my hair feeling very sticky and greasy. The only positive was that it did give me some shine which I did like. But, I will not be using it again.
Also in the Camille Rose line, I was really disappointed in their coconut water line. I bought the style setter and the deep conditioner and they were both underwhelming. The style setter had a hard time absorbing into my hair and wasn't very hydrating. The deep conditioner was ok, but not as good as I would expect from Camille Rose. I also wasn't impressed with the Moroccan Pear custard. It didn't smell good to me (smelled like lemons) and wasn't very hydrating.
I LOVE the CR ginger rinse shampoo. It's the only shampoo that soothes my itchy scalp, retains moisture, and moderately detangles at the same time. Did NOT like the morrocan pear conditioner. I didn't get any slip from it either even after wearing a heat cap. Yall should try the new CR Around the World lines. I washed out a silk press last week and my curls LOVED the cholesterol treatment. They even looked better than before I got it pressed!
I love the entire Camille rose line except for the ginger rinse and conditioner it doesn’t work for me 4b hair BUT it does work in my daughters hair 4a

The line that was disappointing for me was pink lemonade from my beloved Mane Choice. I love Mane Choice, so I agree that you can love a company and not like every product or line. The pink lemonade seem to dry my hair out. Not sure if it’s the coconut oil or something else in it.

Are there any products that you use for a different purpose than what it was made for??. For example, I use the kinky curly knot today as a refresher... it doesnt work for me as a leave in, I dont use it as a detangler but as a refresher... bomb!!!
