Great figure especially being almost eight years old! I like both poses, I think mine is displayed with the helmet off. I kept my original 59 in box and opened up the reissue for display. Enjoyed the video as always Matt 👍🏻
Yeah, for it's time, it's really good. This is one figure that looks very nice in the box. I actually wouldn't mind having a second one to do just that. But now, even the reissues are starting to shoot up in price. 🤪 Thanks so much for watching as always, Brian!
Great video Matt nice job on the comparisons!. I actually have the first bread box issue, but I’ve never opened him as he came with a box protector lol .And the “Poncho”- Rex. I’ve always wondered about the Hascon version. Glad I got the original!. Thanks for sharing!.
Hey, thanks, Mark. If I had to have only one, it would definitely be no. 59. It's just a well-done figure all the way around. I appreciate you watching, my friend! 👊
💯 Great figure indeed! He looks so good on the shelf. I can't get over how good the head-sculpt is. The Bad Batch version has photo-real, but it's not even close to the re-issue. I appreciate you watching as always, Art! 👊
Happy new year Matt! So happy to have Rex in my collection. He's up there in my personal Top 5 Black Series figure list, together with Dooku, Plo Koon, Duel's End Vader and C-3PO (from the Chewbacca 2-pack), such a great looking figure with perfect weathering and a great headsculpt. Thanks for the first review of 2025 Matt, enjoy your weekend!
Happy New Year! He is one of the best for sure. You've got an excellent top 5 there. 👍👍 Have a good weekend as well, and thanks a bunch for watching, Sander!
Yeah, the HasCon has the "painted eyes." Big difference! As far as the helmet - there's no room for the nose in there. It does get squashed a little. It's not terrible, but it is noticeable. I appreciate you watching, Josh!
Sooooooooooooo Jello!!!! The Rexy in the Posh Boxy is one of only 2 Clo-none figures I don't possess in my grimy, cold hand, from the entire line. The other one is the 332 cw Arse-soaker Clo-none from 19? 20? which came and went before I realised you could purchase toys utilising micro-chips in personal hand held devices. I do love a bit of "Virtually Identical Figure Action!!"
The HasCon is stoopid expensive on the aftermarket. And those original 332nds - those were pretty elusive. Rex does look good. Happy to have him for the shelf. Hopefully, you can aquire the ones you need soon! Thanks for watching as always, David!
Awesome video Matt these are both awesome I was happy to get the reissue even though I had the original but I mean you can never have to many captain Rex 😂 great video though I really enjoyed
Thanks, Aaron. Awesome figure. Rex is one of my favorite characters. I don't mind having three (soon to be four with the pipelined Phase I) on the shelf. I appreciate you watching as always!
The armor is a little different. And of course, that would vary from figure to figure. The photo-real on 59 is a nice upgrade from the HasCon. But, at the end of the day, they're the same figure. I appreciate you watching!
@JoshuaBanker74 Nice! A perfect figure indeed. There's not much I would change on this. Just a well executed figure considering when it came out. Thanks for checking out the review, Joshua!
the *glasses off* always kills me. Awesome vid as always Matt!
Ha! Not sure why I started doing that. 🤣 I appreciate you watching, Chase!

I got him a couple months ago too. There was a big hole in my 501st section that he now fills. He is a great figure

Captain Rex figures don't always seem to disappoint me. Today was the best review.
Thanks, Leo. Great figure and a great character. I appreciate you checking out the review!

Thanks Matt. Didn’t realize the hazcon wasn’t photoreal. Also great tip on nose rub. Never thought of that.

@@Matt_Bryant yeah the pipelined phase 1 is awesome I definetly want that I will have six of Rex if you count the hot toys Rex
Helpful comparison Matt, thanks. Rex has always been one of the best black series figs.
I appreciate it, David. Great figure, great character. Thanks so much for watching, my friend!
Another awesome pack of star wars clone troopers rex 1 vs rex 2 keep collecting matt Bryant 👍🏻🇬🇧👍🏻
Thanks very much, Mark! 👊
@Matt_Bryant your welcome 👍🏻👍🏻
Nice! Didn’t know there’s a difference but probably don’t matter the play munitions.

The Reissued Captain Rex is a huge improvement. Sadly he's too expensive now this year.
It does look good. Excellent head-sculpt. The re-issue is starting to shoot up in price here as well. Thanks so much for watching!
Nice comparison! Don't think we have the HasCon Rex. Agree, though that red box Rex is one of the best figures!
I appreciate it, JTs. Rex is just so good. To be from 2018, it still holds up. Glad to have it on the shelf. I appreciate you watching as always! 😃
I have 2, one for my office and one for my room. I’m my opinion it is a perfect figure.
