The song “Rather be” was released in January 2014 and became a major hit on youtube in a short period of time. The song was composed by the British electronic group Clean Bandits and features vocals from Jess Glynne, an English singer and songwriter.
The song was a big success and won a Grammy Award for Best Dance Recording in 2015.
The original contains already string instruments, a violin and a cello. So it seems quite reasonable to arrange a cover version of “Rather be” for a string quartet in an instrumental version. The song became quite popular among wedding songs. The music is very positive and makes you feel like dancing. Especially during the evening when the atmosphere is getting more relaxed it is a perfect way to make people happy.
The Prima-Quartet is a classical string quartet putting their focus on pop music. They have more than 300 pop songs in their repertoire. A lot of them were specially arranged for weddings and corporate events. They regularly perform at weddings all over Germany but it is also possible to book them for weddings all over the world.
