I have a 1969 Karmann Ghia Convertible and I love driving this beauty. My first car was a 1960 VW bus and my second car was a 1963 VW Squareback Variant. Now I am back in a VW and I love it!!
Just watched your video on the Mitsubishi L300, and now I'm subscribed and addicted to your channel 😊 In other words, great content, and such cool cars!
Mate it's in much better shape than than mine! I just made my first video on it myself. I love the thought of putting it on airbags so will be keen to see what you do. Love the colour or yours. Mines very ratty and had all the wheel arches cut and ugly flares put on because it was a race car back in the 80's. Hasn't been driven since. Look forward to more of your vids Josh 👍
@@RookieRestorations I reckon! It'll drive again though 👍 Would love to see a follow up vid of how your air system works at some point mate. It's definitely something I'll be looking at later on down the line.
My father had a Karmann Ghia cabrio ages ago. Loved that car. This one....an absolute shame you got that low rider style of a car. Keeping it original makes that car looks so much nicer. Unless you're 10 years old.
Beautiful car. I have a '72 Ghia and I think it handles awfully, but I make allowances for it as it is such a great looking car. It'll never break the speed limit! Had mine for nearly 4 years and done around 13000miles. Definitely a keeper...and a money pit!
All us guys in our high school group in the mid-70s all have vdubs of some sort. Heck, i have 4. 19' atlas and passatt wolfsb. 70 bug and a 69 ghia show piece.
Like you Ive loved this car since I was a kid. Did you know it was based on a Chrysler concept car called the d'Elegance which, to me, may be one of the most beautiful cars ever built? If I ever fall into a swimming pool full of money Ill have a car built based on it.
One of life's biggest mysteries for me is WHY do people buy a beautiful classic car or truck and then totally SCREW IT UP by Mexicanizing the suspension system? This was a beautiful Karmann Ghia until they screwed it up by dropping it onto the dirt like that! Now it's not even worth crushing!

That's a looks like a really nice, solid, honest car. I hope you get a lot of enjoyment out of it. I've had my '74 Coupe 25 years.
Yes! Can't wait to get it up and running. One of the most beautiful car designs in my opinion.
Gotta be careful of dents that's the unibody life
M8 the ghia is awesome , know after seeing yours I think I need to dig out my 72 ghia and get started on the resto 👍
Thanks dude. Always loved these cars. 💯
@@RookieRestorations great buy especially with air ride kit, even tho it needs some fettling

Ahhh thank you Chris. That means a lot. I shall make a concerted effort to make a new video in the next week!!
Well, that Karmann Ghia certainly went to a very loving owner, I am stoked for you!
I have a 1969 automatic Karmann Ghia and it was a parts car when I got it and it is coming along so much fun I can barely imagine

Aircooled VW life ...... It's an addiction.
I just purchased a black on black '68 convertible. I cant wait to get under the hood and put my "stink" on it!
Love the convertible!
I love the Karmann Ghia . Because it’s the only choice left since I can’t afford the Mercedes 300sl gullwing this my other option . It aged very well
It did indeed. I'd also love a 356 but again....money

Watched till I heard him use the Lords name in vain.
Cool car, intro music sucks ass :/
That's the problem with music. You'll never please all the people all the time.
