    That end-reaction of Noelle when coin got pushed to her hand and Rick's smile..... Damn that was wholesome ❤
    Great effect and amazing tutorial
    Thank you Rick!

    One of my favourite plots. You can have so much fun with it because to a layman it is so bizarre to push an object through a solid table. Bravo Rick :)

    For all coin beginners like me, this tutorial is a real treasure! I'm not ready to do it without a gaff. And regardless of that - why should you do it when it's much easier with a turtle and just as impressive and convincing. Your performance proves it! ... also most recently with the great video from 'The Peregrinating Halves'. The over the shoulder view is always so helpful! Thank you so much Rick for your hard work and for teaching us something great! ❤

    Thank you Rick,....So so much for your generosity and impeccable teaching of these classics! Your handlings are what makes these routines and techniques attainable, especially for a newbie into coin magic....Noelle is such an adorable daughter, and her reactions are purely genuine and beautiful..... something we all desire in this amazing art of magic.... I love how she was in pure awe and wonder❤️💯

    Great handling of a classic, one of my favourites, well done. Noelle was great 😊 I used to show tricks to my two daughters when they were young and they were so good about it and supportive of ‘daddy’s magic tricks’. Thanks so much for all you videos 🙏

    Rick, As an older amateur magician, I greatly enjoy your historical analysis and comments on routining. I find I have almost all the books you reference-mostly in editions from the 60s and 70s and find it fun to revisit them to see how magic has evolved. Was that glass a commercial product or just a good find with the thick and decorated base? Thanks again for posting these vids!

      Thanks Jim, the glass is made by Libbey. It's a 4.5 oz. Gibraltar rocks glass.

    Thanks Rick, love your videos. I wish sometimes after all your explanations and you are man who definitely likes to go into detail that you would do the trick one more time at the end of the rave and quickly explain the handling as you do it.....a bit like a recap. Jay Sankey often does this recap thing as he goes along and this is one of the reasons he is such a great teacher IMO. He keeps it very simply. Learning a trick and it's handling is hard enough as it is. I notice everyone here mostly give positive feedback hope you don't take offense to what I hope you'll see as constructive feedback. Cheers

    Killer routine as usual Rick. Is there a handling without the gaff? I'll have to dig in to my copy of Bobo's. I am jealous your daughters are such great assistants. My 4 yr old on would not be as helpful Lol.

    Hey Rick, love your content. I was just wondering, where can I buy coins and gaffed coins? Is there a place where I can buy good quality coins?

    • @RickHolcombe
      @RickHolcombe  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I get my coins locally at coin shops or the flea market.
      For gaffs I use everybody: Schoolcraft, Mason, Kueppers

    I find performing for kids Noelle's age especially difficult. They don't take misdirection well because they haven't had the years of conditioning that tells them where they "should" be looking. I mean, she was going to watch from under the table to see the coins to go through. (So cute.)
    Kids don't yet know the established social boundaries. They don't know they shouldn't grab at your hands or sleeves, or try to check your pockets. And if they catch you... it's all over! They're gonna tell EVERYONE! (Even if they've got the method wrong.) Stresses me out! 😬

      I still managed to impress her though! And she knows most of my tricks.
