    Pond looks awesome! I think the spot for the pond is perfect looks natural. Maybe hide the plant containers but besides I like it. Maybe build a cave inside pond with rocks for fish to hide from predators. The company that I work for here in Southern California we sell both Aquascape and Atlantic Oase pond products.

    Wow. This is amazing. I really want to create a garden pond this spring. I’m learning as much as I can.

    Most of your floating plants are water lettuce. The shiny ones are water hyacinth.

    Common goldfish, which are the ones you want to put in ponds, not fancy goldfish which aren't as hardy, get to be 18 inches. They are big fish. At least two of the fish I saw in there are commons, so those are going to get massive.

    Hi there, I loved your work, u make it very easy to build a pond for us 😊I wonder, what is that loose end pipe for, at the bottom of your pond?

    • @RandomAdventures
      @RandomAdventures  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes it’s just another place for the fish to hide!

    This was such a joy to watch! It's incredible to witness the transformation of a backyard feature over such a significant period. The video is not just about a pond; it's a testament to the rewards of patience, love, and commitment to nature.

    Beautiful pond thank you for an awesome tutorial and being very explanatory answering all the questions and the details from the pricing to types of materials you used. I have a question do you ever see or have to worry about snakes getting in it and living and if so what do you do to deter them and keep them out? Thank you .

    • @RandomAdventures
      @RandomAdventures  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I actually haven’t seen any snakes near the pond since I’ve installed it!

    Where did you get the power supply from to run the pump where I want to put our pond is a long way from a power source

    • @RandomAdventures
      @RandomAdventures  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I ran an extension cord from the house until we had an actual power outlet installed next to the pond

  • @shay5129

    How do you keep your fish from getting sucked in from the pump?

    • @RandomAdventures
      @RandomAdventures  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It’s a pump designed for fish ponds, so it’s designed to be safe for fish

    Oh is it a hiding place for the fish?

    I love that pond and would love to have one but not enough property to build it on, That price you paid 5 years ago has probably tripled in price now,

    What about the water plant during the winter. Do you need to bring them inside the house?

    • @RandomAdventures
      @RandomAdventures  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The tall grasses and the Lilly pads are potted plants at the bottom of the pond. They die off and come back every spring!
      The water hyacinths and anything else towards the top of the water needs to be brought inside the house for the winter
