Yes, same here! She's such an entertaining and vibrant character with her wit and humor, and it was really fascinating to watch her development through the seasons, especially because she went through such a profound change.
It seems that every member of Team Free Will 2.0 brings out a different side in her, which makes each of their interactions a delight to watch. With Jack, she gets protective ("a wee nephilim who's ailing") and even a tad motherly, and we know what a big deal this is for a character with her past experiences. With Cas, she gets very flirty and playful, obviously enjoying his confused reactions ("the handsome angel", "tweetie pie"). With Dean, I think they both see a piece of themselves mirrored in the other because they are very alike in some areas, such as covering their underlying deep hurt with humor and bravado. Then of course there was that wonderful episode 12x11 with amnesiac Dean, where their dynamic was a whole different one again, where she was far less guarded around him because she knew he'd forget. Then also, there's Sam. The car talk in 13x12, where she truly let her guards down without any spells of forgetting involved ("I'm scared Sam, all the time"), which is a scene that I'll forever be obsessed with. Also Billie's statement in 13x19 that Rowena never would have killed Sam, not anymore. And the fact that Rowena, knowing the prophecy that Sam will be the one to kill her, uses it in entirely different ways from what one would expect, gaining strength from the knowledge it won't be Lucifer or AU Michael who kills her, and never ever making another attempt to get rid of Sam and in fact allowing them to grow closer over time ("we've gotten quite fond of each other, haven't we"), also calling "dibs on Samuel" because he's "as close to a seasoned witch as we've got in this lot", and then her leaving her entire heritage to him and only him. The sheer insanity of her prophesied killer being exempt from the lethal protection spell around her home because he's the only one she trusts. Rowena's dynamic with the entirety of TFW 2.0 is endlessly fascinating (to me, at least), and I'm not sure there's a right or wrong answer to who her favorite is. Personally, I do think it's Sam, but I definitely see your point if you think it's Dean. I wish we'd gotten more Rowena episodes in general in the last few seasons... I think a team-up of her with only Dean, or a team-up of her with only Cas or Jack for whatever the plot of the episode might have been, perhaps to save the others, would have been a joy to watch. Sorry, this ran away from me a bit and became a rather long reply... guess Rowena is a topic I can never shut up about, lol. Thank you for your comment and for watching my video.
@@hidingamaranth I love her character and even though, earlier she is shown as a bad mother. I truly believe that she did loved Crowley. "Fergus was my only child... I would rather have a living son one that hated me than a dead hero!"
@@dramaqueen16ism Oh, yes, 100% agreed! She absolutely did love her son, or she wouldn't have reacted the way she did in 13x19 Funeralia. His death really *hit* her, in a way she hadn't expected at all because she'd buried her love for him so deeply in self-defense. But I'm fully convinced it was still love.
I love Crowley and he plays an important part of the story (Empty Earth) I'm writing and doing these character research videos for, so I'll *definitely* do a Crowley video sooner or later! I just can't promise when yet because I signed up for a fanfic bang where authors have only a single month to write a story. So I had to give that one priority over the next Empty Earth chapter, but I'll get back to it as soon as I can. The next two character videos won't be Crowley yet because I need different characters for the next chapter, but maybe after that! (The end goal is having a video for every character who appears in the story anyway, so that I'll have these videos as future reference for writing the characters, both for new chapters but also for entirely new stories.) Sorry that this will take a while, but I promise Crowley won't be forgotten!
Watching this video of Rowena's story makes me love her even more! She is such an epic character in her own right.
Making the video had the same effect on me, haha. There's absolutely no going back for me, I adore this character now and forever.
❤
This was very good
I'm really happy you like it! It was a lot of fun to gain a deeper understanding of Rowena while making this.
Love Rowena

Such a good video
Thank you for your continued support.
I swear Dean is Rowena's favorite.

@@hidingamaranth uhuh. If only Fergus knew how much mummy loved him.
@@dramaqueen16ism Now that's just heartbreaking. (And I heard it in Azazel's voice, lol.)
