Hey Martyn mate. 👋🏻😃 So glad you’re feeling better after the dreaded lurgy episode. 😷🤧 Nice horse shoe and good old George V but Lovin the “happy days are here again” Roman! Rope find and the second best highlight. I mean, you can’t beat a shit of the tripod falling over!! 😂 Take care and be lucky buddy. 😃👍🏻

Hi, That's a bit difficult to answer s I change them from field to field... Basically I use the Coins programme with Relic 3 tones, multifrequency (but whilst it's been really dry I tend to use single frequency 15KHz), Multifilter on, hot rock 0, reaction 4, masking 4, th level 8, th tone 150, th sens 30, sat 10, vco 20, audio gain 20, iron vol 0, tones relics 3, id type 6 -90+90, hold time 4 secs, id gain on,... As I mentioned though, these settings aren't set in stone - I tweak them from field to field to suit conditions 👍 I forgot to mention, Sensitivity 75ish and Discrimination -90'''

Hi Martyn , that screen recording gizmo looks heavy shame it didn't work or is it ?🤔 looks quite cumbersome to , anyway happy day's were here again nice little Roman mate and i like the Medieval horse shoe as well but not keen on the huge lump of iron hedge bottom was the best place for it 😂 , and just out of interest do you carry your tripod about with you or do you clip it onto your belt or something else ? just a shame you knocked it over 😁 , good video my friend i enjoyed it and hope you fully recover from Covid soon best wishes Rob 👍☘🙋‍♂

The screen camera is positioned using Ram mounts designed for motorcycle handlebars. It’s actually fairly light and I put in various places until I found a good balance point. I need to get some anti-reflection film for the screen I think… I was chuffed with the Roman too, very debased silver or maybe billon but still a shiny one 😄
I have a hook on my belt to hang my spade so carry the tripod in one hand and the detector in the other. The tripod is usually quite stable but there was a bit of a gusting breeze and I was on a slope. No harm done though.
The COVID, a severe bout of depression caused by my Bipolar, and the firm belief that I was about to die on the operating table meant that I hardly moved out of the bedroom for weeks. Luckily the hospital gave me a stark choice - diet or die. I have to lose at least 12kg in a shortish time and get plenty of exercise to improve my lungs or they can’t safely operate…
Ah well, at least whist I thought I was about to die I updated my Will and sorted out all my finances. The problem is it all goes to my Daughter as Executor and Trustee so now I think she’s plotting to do away with me 🤣🤣🤣
Anyway, may you and yours keep happy, healthy, and lucky - and if you happen to get wealthy too can you lend me a Fiver 😂

Yes, I was a very heavy smoker about 30 years ago but gave up when the government were handing out free nicotine patches. As I was teaching in Prisons at the time and the classrooms were always full of blue smoke I got my nicotine through secondary smoking too 😂 My lungs actually got damaged when I was a Fireman in Manchester. When I got out of hospital they gave me a medal for the rescues I’d done whilst buggering up my lungs, told me I was unfit, gave me a full 25 year pension, and told me to bugger off 😄 I went back into teaching, far more hazardous 🤣🤣🤣
