Not gonna fight you on that one, rather I will agree with you. Sonic 3D Blast utilized the same sound engine that Sonic 3 used. The fact that the Genesis soundtracks don't get the love they should does anger me. Then again, this was in 1996, so the Genesis was being used to its fullest extent. Its soundtrack, therefore, is a lot harder to recreate from scratch (unless you rip it from ROM). Fun fact: Yuji Naka originally wanted Sonic 3 to be like Sonic 3D Blast, being a 3D isometric game.
Considering the fact that the Sonic fandom have made a bunch of 3D Sonic fan games, I am very surprised no one has tried remaking 3D Blast to be in actual 3D.
I love how breaking these down makes like a few mini songs. Any chance for the Showdown from Sonic Spinball? Been waiting for that one since I heard the others.
This soundtrack isn't as good imo as the PC version, but this song was catchy to me They seemed to put more effort into Rusty Ruins music in both soundtracks
@@limelad37 Yeah. It uses the Saturn’s soundtrack. Makes sense since obviously, to use the original soundtrack on PC, you would have to convert all of the .VGM’s to .WAV or another audio standard, and so they decided to use the music from the Saturn which was already CD audio.
11:05 - 11:23 if that isn't the greatest intro to an act then I don't know what is
the climax... man...
Its so good!
5:32 For any bass and drum lovers
Thank you kind sir, I will gladly click your timestamp.

3D Blast deserves as much praise as S3&k. Fight me.

I wondered why I kept hearing similarities but while it does have some gems... I just can't say it's that good
@@jtg55 Maybe Sonic 3 was just too different from the original 2.

Yes. But we have Robo Blast 2!
That sound from 3:01 is magical with headphones on
Ikr!
Of course best part in 5:45
For me, it's 6:40.
This is even more Jazzy than Act 1. But the PSG didn't really change much.
11:06 EVERYBODY NOW!!
0:00 Ch0, Ch4
1:51 Ch2, Ch3
3:00 PSG3 joins
3:42 All PSGs
5:33 Ch1, DAC
7:23 Ch2, Ch3, Ch1, DAC
9:14 All PSGs, Ch2, Ch3, Ch1, DAC
11:05 Every channel
There's a slight resemblance to Mystic Cave Zone in the backing track at 2:08
It sounds like doom
It sounds more like Casino Forest
The custom wave to sine wave transform is so satisfying 5:45
it decays overtime, turning into a sine-like wave
YES! Act 2 of my favourite zone.
Easily one of my top picks in the MegaDrive version... and so freaking nostalgic in general.
I love how breaking these down makes like a few mini songs. Any chance for the Showdown from Sonic Spinball? Been waiting for that one since I heard the others.
Ladies and gentlemen, syncopation changes a lot about the song.
Yeah, finally. Thank you, one of my favorites!
One of my top 3 songs from 3D blast, thanks a lot!
Yay! Now the only thing I need is Marble Garden Zone Act 2.
Good Theme: 6:41.
Legit what I think about when someone talks about string theory. LoL
1:08 This part sounds like a lullaby..😴
5:32 sounded really cool for some reason.
You're channel is dope, just found you from my Twitter feed :D
My favorite zone, music wise, from Sonic 3D
The only things from the Sonic Trilogy left are Mystic Cave 2P, Competition Mode, Desert Palace, and final Balloon Park.
...and the sonic 2 final boss if I'm not mistaken.
@@limelad37 Now, it's just Competition Mode, Knuckles' Theme (S&K).
@@thesupervideogamenerdmore3171 How about now, O'ye Countin' One?
@@SaiKisaragi I think just Competitive Mode
@@thesupervideogamenerdmore3171 Thank you
Buenisimo!! Te felicito genio!! Me gusta como suenan los sonidos separados 👍👍
Canales 2 y 3 tienen el volumen demasiado bajo en mi opinion.
0:25 is reminding me of Hacking Malfunction from FTL, the part that starts about 17 seconds in
AWESOME!!!!!!!!
This soundtrack isn't as good imo as the PC version, but this song was catchy to me

I was confused for a second until I remembered that there is, in fact, a PC port.

2:09 sounds like doom m1e1
love the bass
The beginning is my favorite part
Legend stage BGM
Finally.
Channels 2 and 3 are way too quiet.
Would love to hear the solo bass with the DAC channel. Hate how the DAC sounds static and distorted in this one
i wish the saturn version was able to be deconstructed😢
yeah, this is MIDI, which can be.
The Saturn is CD audio, which cannot.

Aw yeah, this is happening!
PD: You can do Ryu theme from Street Fighter II Special Champion Edition for Sega Genesis?
M.U.S.H.A. For the Love of next pls and thank you
Could I use this for a remix? I´ll give you credits for the stems!
You can get every single instrument from any sega genesis game using some winamp plugin
Or Foobar2000, which is what Carpathia808 used.
