I’m glade you showed you have no idea what your going to do with the new pages. I’m in the same boat I have no clue what to do with them. Love your budget videos, you are the one that inspired me to finally budget and your system and stickers really help and make it more bearable.

You could track maci's school related items if it's not to early for that. Really wish I'd done this when mine where smaller so I had an idea what it would cost me the next year and set up a sinking fund. Back to school used to bite me every year not to mention trips and events.

Hi Sara I’m new to budgeting this detailed but I’m very excited to get started. I truly appreciate you and all the work you do for your viewers. I have a question, I am a small business owner too, do you keep a separate budget book for your business, i.e. detailed business expenses, line items for business insurance, travel expenses etc. I hope this makes sense - lol.

It would be nice to if you have it separate.
One is for everything related to your business (e.g expense for items, transportation, taxes, employee salary, etc).
and of course since it's a business, you will have an income which you will identify how much of your business income will go to your personal expense and that's the only amount from your business budget planner (or whatever you may call it) that would be written on your personal budget planner. Most likely it will be one of your variable income.
Uhm.. I hope I did good at explaining. lol

This is so helpful! Thank you! Off the top of my head, for my family of 8, I’d add a clothing tracker.

Forgot to say that I’m thinking of starting and tracking a new savings/sinking fund for Retirement, we are 10 years away from retirement and want to start saving money as we feel our 401k, Social society and other retirement will not be enough.

Will you be doing stickers for the gift tracker? That is brilliant! My sisters & I try to remember what we did the year before for gifts & NEVER remember! If you do, please let us know! I'll buy several!

I have a 401(k) / IRA tracker, quarterly Net Worth Statements, and several trackers for specific financial goals (ex. saving for a car) in addition to some of the same ones you have.

I only get paid 1 time per month (the 4th Wed. of each month). What advice can you give me for doing the "check in's" and "cash envelopes" since I wouldn't be getting paid multiple times a month. I hope that makes sense. Thanks, I appreciate any advice you have.

You can still track all your expenses weekly so you'll know how much you spend on things and would know your balance week to week so you don't over spend. You can still do it the way sara does it, and also the cash envelopes same way. Budgeting is so you know where your money is going. So you have control over your money not the other way around. Hope that helps.

Hi I have lots of trackers 😕 lol I have been tracking our monthly income to get a total for the year, I track the balances of my accounts monthly, home repayment to track any extra payments, home maintenance tracker, and financial goals tracker for the year. I also have a tracker for my monthly utilities so I can see the increase and decrease thru out the year.

It’s just sticker paper! You can get it from Michael’s or staples

Some additional categories I’ll be tracking: childcare expenses, extra debt payments (tracking extra we pay on mortgage, etc), pet expenses, home maintenance costs, charitable donations
