I have no idea but I would say the sole of the Onitsuka Tiger Mexico 66 SD is definitely lower compared to the Nike Air Force 1. According to ChatGPT: The Mexico 66 SD has a sole thickness of around 1 to 1.5 inches (2.5 to 3.8 cm) depending on the size and the specific model. On the other hand, the Nike Air Force 1's sole typically measures about 1.5 to 2 inches (3.8 to 5 cm) thick.
I just got one. It looks good and all. Been dreaming about this for so long. But I kinda regret spending $160 for a pair. Was disappointed with the build. Leather is too thin and although it’s comfortable, it also feels too fragile. I think my Converse would last longer than this.
Hey, thanks for sharing! Yes, lean and lightweight are also characteristics of this shoe. I totally get what you mean by it feeling fragile, but I think in terms of durability, it might not be that bad depending on the use and how much care/attention is given when wearing these day to day. Let us know 6 to 12 months down the road how it goes for you!
Hey! Yes, some parts are made of suede. I would clean this pair the same way I clean my other sneakers (i.e. brush with cleaning solution from Jason Markk). I’ll make a video on sneaker cleaning soon. ;)
i tried to buy mexico 66 and just didn't like it specially on my ankle, every time i step, the leather surrounding my ankle wrinkles and feels like gonna wear off
I bought these for 8.5 assumed that my size in this shoes is 8.5 because my size on vans and converse are 8.5 also when i tried the mexico at first it's good on feet but on long walks my pinky feet hurts 😢 do you think i should've bought 9's ?
Sorry to hear that! It’s frustrating when a pair feels good at first but ends up hurting after a while. I went with my usual size, and it worked out for me, but I know everyone’s feet are a bit different. If you can, trying them on in-store first might help find that right fit.
Initially, it rubbed my ankle on and off at certain angles during wear. After a few wears, it was no longer an issue. I’ve never had a blister from this pair :)
thanks bro. I fell in love with that colorway the moment I watched your review. now I’m trying to hunt for that model but can’t find any luck yet as it is already sold out according to onitsuka 😅
Hey, my feet are actually on the wider side, and I don't feel any discomfort. But then again, everyone's feet are different. So definitely try them on to see for yourself. I think it's worth giving them a shot.
Thanks for your question! On the official webpage for the Onitsuka Tiger MEXICO 66 SD (Style number 1183C015.200), it only mentions "leather" without specifying if it's real or synthetic. I actually tried researching this when I was preparing for the video but couldn’t find many details either. That said, I’ve been using this pair regularly in my daily rotation, and I must say the leather is holding up really well. No signs of cracking or peeling, which is typically common with synthetic or faux leather. Hope this helps!
Hello! Just did a measurement for you. My feet length is about 26cm. i got mine in size US10/EUR44. As always, do try them on if you can. Hope this helps!
Hello, thanks for sharing your experience! I've been using this pair in my daily rotation for the past six months, and to be honest, they are still very comfortable for me. The midsole is holding up well, too.
Got the same shoes and color way. I really love them!
amazing shoe. Onitsuka Tiger is my favorite brand sneaker. Just bought 5 pairs in Japan.
Wow 5 pairs! Nice. Cant beat the good retail price, good currency exchange and bonus tax refund ;)
My favourite too!! They are simply the BEST!!! ❤
Do you prefer this over the standard version for walking??

Love how refer to foam as technology 😂😂😂 beautiful pair of shoes
Perhaps you should research foam in shoes, it was engineered in a lab, the history of foam and how it’s evolved is technology based.
@02:25 you said this one has ortholite sole ? All onitsuka shoes have those or only specific models have those?
Hello! Pretty sure not all Onitsuka Tiger models come with OrthoLite soles.
How high are the soles? For example compared to air forces?
I have no idea but I would say the sole of the Onitsuka Tiger Mexico 66 SD is definitely lower compared to the Nike Air Force 1.

Absolute fire!!

I've been using one of my pairs for 5 years
I’m a wide feet. Is it recommended to size up for these shoes?
Hey, I'm not confident giving any advice on this. Suggest you try them in-store. Sorry, can't be of much help here.
hi, does it contain suede material? how to treat this shoes?
Hey! Yes, some parts are made of suede. I would clean this pair the same way I clean my other sneakers (i.e. brush with cleaning solution from Jason Markk). I’ll make a video on sneaker cleaning soon. ;)

Thanks for sharing! Thats alright, plenty of other brand options. At least you gave it a shot :)
I found the wax laces are too loose 😂 do you have any tips to keep it tight
Haha, yes! I think it’s because of how thin they are. My trick is to do an extra knot after tying :)

does this shoe gives you blister on your ankle during longer hours of walking?
Initially, it rubbed my ankle on and off at certain angles during wear. After a few wears, it was no longer an issue. I’ve never had a blister from this pair :)

Yes i did :)
@@jimmysjlee thanks. do they fit long?
What colorway is this?
Hello! This pair is in the BIRCH/METROPOLIS colorway (Style #1183C015.200).
The Singlish hit me right in the ears 😂 $240 Singapore dollars right ???
Thanks for the comment! I think you meant the Singaporean accent, but I’m pretty sure no Singlish was used. Hope you enjoyed the video!
can we get this shoes for people with wide feet?
for wider feet i sized up 0.5

can you share your foot length and the size you wearing?
Hello! Just did a measurement for you. My feet length is about 26cm. i got mine in size US10/EUR44. As always, do try them on if you can. Hope this helps!
Where did you get those shoe trees?
Hey, i got this from a seller via Shopee SG
Does it wrinkle a lot?
Surprisingly, it doesn't! The base leather is also quite textured to begin with, which helps a lot.
How much prise
It depends on which country you are getting this from. Japan has good pricing.
Overated shoes,
The body of the shoe is too thin, the sole is hard, uncomfortable, eva midsole not last long,
