Woah, watching this in 2018 brings back some memories. (Back in 2012) After watching your videos i made literally hundreds of prototypes using a 400w (about 1/2 hp) bounce house blower. Never got it quite right. I was in the UK at the time so didn't have access to that kind of weedblock, sprinkler heads etc. Was only 13 at the time too so didn't really have the skills to do it properly either. I could make one now, if only I had a place to use it lmao.
I’m experimenting with ripstop nylon. The same material that they use on the bags folding chairs come in. I presently use black cotton fabric. Just a nice tight weave. I didnt have any weed mat the first time I made one so I used what was in the garage. I’ll make a video of our different tests and devices soon and post a link. We are presently working on a handheld cannon made from a high output leaf blower
What kind of bag is that on the blower I use weed block fabric my machine doesn’t work right I have a 1 hp blower with a 1hp sump pump not putting out foam what can I do?
So how long does the DIY foam machine last if using a 50 gallon drum? I’m wanting to use while renting out my services DJing party’s plus foam kind of thing.
Depends on quality of soap and how big the foam area is. If we’re talking generally 50 gallons of mixed foam solution wouldn’t last very long like maybe 40min. I usually told clients that the party will last 4 hours. In that time I would go through 5 or 6 gallons of soap and close to 300 gallons of water. The real hard part if finding clients that are willing to pay what the service is actually worth. I definitely had a hard time doing that and am no longer in the DJ industry. I still have all the equipment though maybe one day when the world go’s back to normal I can try again. Didn’t mean to devolve into a life story haha. if you have more questions feel free to ask. good luck with everything. -Jeff
I think your flowing too much fluid for the airflow. You should also probably put the bucket underneath the edge of the blower to recycle unused fluid.
I've never tried anything else cuz the weed block worked, i can make a foam machine bag in like 5 min now lol.. other people seem to have a lot of ideas in the comments but I've never seen them post the results of what they tried
The pore size on your bag is way too small. Having a larger pore size will drastically increase foam expansion rate and volume. Try using a cotton or polyester mesh bag.

I tried weed-blocker with great success, but its just a little to fragile, any other recommendations? something that does not get damaged as easily.

Have you ever used pantyhose? I’m not sure if it would work
