Your videos bring back memories of the '67 AMC 343 V8 I rebuilt back in 1988. I installed a Crower Mileage Comp-U-Pro camshaft and a Milodon roller timing chain and sprockets. I snuck a SBC oil pump spring into the inside of the stock AMC spring to boost the oil pressure. Rather than stick with the points and condenser I swapped in a Mallory Unilite conversion kit and fine tuned it all by adding a Crane adjustable vacuum advance. To keep the ignition timing more stable I added a thick washer between the drive gear and the distributor body to take up the slack. Because I had one stashed I added a factory 4-barrel intake with a Carter AFB carb. And, because the exhaust crossover had become made of unobtanium I switched to a dual exhaust system with turbo mufflers. The end result was a '67 Ambassador 2-door hardtop that idled at 21 in Hg, purred like a kitten but could move down the road in style and deliver 20 MPG. Those were the days. Thanks for the memories.
Early AMC is still not adjustable. There's a torque spec on the rocker nut, something like 20-23 ft/lb. The nut just bottoms on the shoulder of the stud.
Just an idea. Maybe a chest mount or a head mount to make the recording process easier on you while you work 🤷🏼♂️ come on production help the man out here 😂
THOSE "OEM" Rocker - STUDS ( early version from 1967 1/2 thru 1972 ) should have a prominent SHOULDER on the Rocker - Studs and OEM Rockers should be TORQUED down to a specific SPECIFICATION ( unless the OEM Shoulder Studs have been REPLACED ) with Chevy (SBC or BBC) screw - in Studs ... IMHO ... COOP ...

Hi Rich, always good to see you! Can't wait to see the "chippa" back in action!
Another good job. Rich looks like you need new door seals on your garage doors

I didn't see in the video when you installed the valve seals. Thanks for the video.
Wouldn’t think you would have trouble finding AMC parts with Austin’s collection nearby.😅

Thought all amc rockers are not adjustable? You just tighten the nuts down to stud shoulder.
Probably true. These are all mechanical lock nuts and no sshoulders.... so they were probably swapped out for sbc adjustable studs. Cheers!

I still think it needs a set of zoomies.
And a hi rise because some times a guy's just got to.
