How are your temps with that mod1.5 gearing. I tried 35/50 mod1 and I liked it just got a little hot for my liking. Going to try 25/42 mod1 gearing next.
If you want the 1100 to be more controllable, designate the torque control of your esc to a knob on your transmitter. You can lower the torque that way on the fly, and make it less aggressive, without sacrificing top end.
We looked into that - the standard TQi transmitter our X-Maxxes came with doesn't have that option on the menu. Apparently the Torque control setting was only for a funny car model? It would certainly be handy now!
The bit at the end was funny!
Show boating not!
should do stock esc vs max5 on stock motor, huge differance in power delivery, it unlocks the stock motor imo
Unfortunately, we don't have a stock motor to put in the green xmaxx unless anyone has one...
The best gearing for 1100kv motor is 25/30 and you will see a difference.

No problem with temps. We have switched in a max 6 but may go back and try different gearing
Maybe a little tuning with the throttle expo and opening up the center diff will keep the front end down.
Yes we are trying those things and a couple of others settings
I leave all my Trucks stock change the gearing a little for the speed
Would have stayed standard but standard motor grenaded itself
Stock motor kicking butt 😂😂
Yep sure is

@@TeamRC3D thats a bummer. I use a Nobel Flysky transmitter. Awesome transmitter. My esc is a mmx8s
Liking the content 👌
So upgrading is actually a downgrade? When would u want to install a max5?
Max 6 over heats!
@@TeamRC3D is running 6s on a max5 combo still going to be an upgrade over stock 8s?
That's why I am just going to upgrade the esc and keep the stock motor on my traxxas xrt, 😳😂😳
Yes we need a standard replacement xmaxx motor!!! But in the UK if you can find them they are silly money!!!
